This is a full conversion Tolkien mod for Crusader Kings 2 which will feature bookmarks throughout the Third Age. This mod is being developed independently from any other LotR or Middle Earth mods out there. The map will cover the main areas of Middle Earth, known in the books and films. I've started my first MEP campaign as Gil-Galad, and I've run into two problems: 1. I continuously get that "soul-bond" death event with my wife, who is alive and well at my court. No matter what option I click, it won't stop popping up. 2. The game crashed a few years after Sauron's defeat (which by the way had the funny outcome of one of the Nazgûl taking over Mordor and becoming a new Dark Lord of sorts), and no matter how often I reload, it keeps crashing. This also happened in other bookmarks with other characters, which I tried to see if the problem was that Gil-Galad survived the Last Alliance. If there are solutions to these, I'd be happy to hear them. If there aren't, I'm happy to have reported them. |

I would like to report the same two bugs. The first one I fixed myself by editing the mod files. As for the crashing... I've been struggling with the crashes for the past 3 days. The game always seems to crash on specific dates each month. It used to be 12th, then I reloaded and after awhile the game started crashing on 6 or 27. I tried just plowing on by saving and reloading, but the probability of crashing seems to go up with time. I've tried editing out dates from the saves, but I'm not sure it helped. It's very frustrating. |
