On the far East, in Afghanistan, occupied by NATO forces, GLA remnants from the defeat of the GLA in Eastern Europe have awaken from its pit when PLA has entered the war against NATO. Warlords begin to rally their men to form the new Global Insurgency Network, aiming to finish what the GLA started, liberating the world from its tyrants.
Local forces begin to ambush the unaware NATO forces in the Afghanistan border. Sirens rang across the sky, as they fell easy preys to the sneak attacks of the GINGF.
GIN "Nasir (or Partisans)" squad is the zealots and radicals that fight fearlessly for the cause. The lack of experiences among them are substituted by their obedience and commitment.
Armaments: Vz. 52 rifle and molotov cocktail.
Body armours: None.
Capture time: 45 seconds.
GIN "Mutamarid (or Rebels)" squad is the main infantry unit of GINGF that is capable of performing a wide range of combat tactics in conventional warfare. They are one of the most mobile and versatile operation units in GINGF. They can also be trained with camouflage tactics to ambush the enemy.
Armaments: AK-47 assault rifle, RDG-5 grenades (upgraded to GP-25 under-barrel grenade launcher) and RKG-3EM anti-tank grenades (upgraded to RPG-7 rocket propelled grenade.)
Body armours: Stolen Kevlar vest.
Capture time: 25 seconds.
GIN "Jarimin-kayl (or Jarmen Kell)" is the most notorious sniper-for-hire in the known global black market network. His accuracy is so masterful that he could take out crews of a vehicle within a blink of an eye. He is also gifted in the art of camouflage and ambush tactics, using smoke grenades to disappear into the shadows or using claymore to guard his flanks. He remains devoted to the cause as long as he is well compensated and his targets justified.
Armaments: SVN-98 anti-material sniper rifle, RDG-2 smoke grenade and MON-50 claymore mine.
Body armours: None.
Capture time: 25 seconds.
GIN "Fwdwi (or Anarchists)" squad is one of the fire support teams of GINGF. They can provide sustained-fire or steady bursts for other operative units in their area. No other infantry could go so easily through them without bullet holes in their chests.
Armaments: RPK light machine gun, RDG-5 grenades and RDG-1 smoke grenade.
Body armours: Stolen Kevlar vest
Capture time: 32 seconds.
GIN "Eadumi (Or Nihilists)" squad is the primary fire support team of GINGF. They provide sturdier and more powerful firepower than light machine gun teams that could even penetrate lightly armoured vehicles. Their static nature makes them extremely venerable to many threats on the battlefield if unprotected.
Armaments: PK general-purpose machine gun with deployable tripod.
Body armours: None.
To be continued ...
That map of Europe seems an awful lot like it's actually of Persia.
afghafuckingnistan
Was just about to say that.
Is that a reference? Because I don't get it. The map is far bigger than just Afghanistan.
It's literally Afghanistan and the area around it.
The concepts are OK but I'd like suggest some changes in the nomenclature:
Partisans I'd name Mutamarid(Rebels)
Rebels I'd call Manadil(Militants)
Light MG(Anarchists) => Muqatil(Combatants/Fighters)
Heavy MG(Nihilists) => Tuhadid(Determined/Steadfasts) sic Heavy MGs are used mostly for stationary defense purposes. It'd make sense to have them in the.
But judging from your map the GIN is centered in Iran so you might consider the names in Persian as well - the only problem with Persian is that Google Translate does not transliterate the translation of the English term.
I welcome suggestions but the problem of renaming the whole thing is that I would have to change the renders as well, so I would like a future naming for mortar squad, etc instead.
They are named in Arabic because their leader speaks the language, and I kind of like the uniformity of it.
Reasonable... But what are the future squads then? Mortar yes - but what else?
They have almost the same structure as the PLA...
Hmm... in that case:
*Madfiei(Bombarder) Squad for the Mortar soldiers.
*Sniper unit would be called "Al-Kamin" (Ambushers)
*Mudamir (Destroyers) for the mobile Anti-Tank Infantry(Tank Hunters Equivalent.
*Mukharibin (Wreckers) for the static AT Infantry (Tank Predators equivalent)
*Fedayeen (meaning "those who sacrifice themselves") for Suicide Bombers(If you will include)
Tbh, I'd rather just have the PLA and GIN squad names in English, as while this does add that extra level of immersion, I imagine it'd be really confusing ingame.
We enhance everything including confusion.
If possible, there would be an option for both.
Well ok then
Jarmen Kell has what looks like a KSVK
