This mod is for all the players frustrated with the cartoony nature of Zero Hour units and buildings. We intend to replace every fanciful unit in Zero Hour with its closest possible real world equivalent, without changing the unit's capabilities.

Description
The Overlord has been replaced by a Type-99 MBT, the Battlemaster by a Type-59, the Gatling tank by a Type-95 SPAAA, the troop crawler by a WZ551 APC, the Inferno cannon by a PLZ05 SPH, the Nuke cannon by a Tracked 203mm Howitzer. Not pictured is the OT-55 replacement for the flame tank.
Yeah man, China got the good old Type 59 tank, look way better than the silly looking Battlemaster tank :D
For me the Battlemaster should be replaced by type 96, the type 59 tanks are now transpered to assault gun elements in Chinese army, so there is not point to use them tp replace battlemaster. Beside, in the tame the battlemaster are close match to the crusaders, and the same thing cannot be said so to the type 59 vs M1A2 in the real life. In the way i see it, this replacement of battlemaster is rather unwise (in another word, stupid).
Tracked 203mm is American.
You can make a heavier PLZ-45 as Nuke Cannon.
That tracked artillery unit is a PLZ-05, a new Chinese SPG. As to the other one, it's some sort of North Korean SPG, you'll have to ask dhd.
The tracked 203 is Chinese believe it or not, some NORINCO prototype.

hey i like what you are doing but what about the buildings and defense? are you planning to make them more realistic say some thing like "Cold War Crisis" but its time line is set to our time and near future? may i suggest that you could search the net for pictures on Forward operation bases in Iraq and Afghanistan for ideas or from Battle field 2
Yes that is indeed what I was hoping to do. Buildings are quite a bit more work though, and we are a small team, so for now units have absolute priority.

I have to say it is a ridiculous mistake to make Battlemaster tank a type 59. Its real life counterpart should be ZTZ-96 (which looks similar to type 85 in the picture). The Type 59 tanks are now mostly in assault gun units and ZTZ-96s are the workhorse of the armored divisions. The ztz-99 should be nuke battlemasters and latest ZTZ-99A2 should be Overlord tanks.
Looks like we ended up going with Type-96 way down the line (ie now), so good call. Ridiculous mistake though? Nah, the battlemaster design was literally derived from the Type 59.

Be more fairly, the type 59 is not better than T-55 (scorpion) in GLA, and the battlemaster tanks in game are better than scorpion (T-55). My opinion is: it is unwise to choose type 59 to be the battlemaster tanks.
