This is an Unoffical Addon mod for Castlevania Simon's Destiny. Load CSD as the IWAD/or first then this file. Castlevania 3 for Simon's Destiny is much how it sounds. It brings the Characters of Castlevania 3 to the table along with new monsters, new difficulty settings, and new abilities unique to each character.. The new Monsters run on a randomizer geared for each one it's relative best area to spawn. This mod brings new weapons that every character can equip. This mod is best run with OpenGL or Vulkan and is compatible for LZDoom as well. For best effects, set Puffs to Sprites and Particles for better eye candy. It does not work on Zandronum.
UNzip and load the PK3 with Castlevania Simon's Destiny as the IWAD. Use GZD3.8 or higher, or LZDoom 3.88.

.- Fixed Main normal HUD so that it renders properly on all resolution scales- Got rid of the blinding light on Arthur's main attack.- Rewrote Difficulties to enhance Game Play moreso and be more in line with game timeline:
1. Difficulty 1: Castlevania Simons Destiny-- Replaces all Doom monsters in the extra maps with CV Monsters instead And Draculas Castle uses the Vanilla Monsters
2. Difficulty 2: CV2 Simons Quest-- Same as above but enhances Draculas Castle with CV2 style Bosses
3. Dracula Bosses are all different for each difficulty roughly mirroring a progression of Himself in each game: CV1 amd CV2 are pretty accurate. CV3 on up gets different but still really good!
4. Difficulty 4 and 5: the Monsters and most bosses are way more randomized
5. Difficuty 6: Not done according to game timeline like others. Theres almost zero randomized Monsters or bosses.
6. Blood Moon is a call back to Simon's Destiny specifically, and only randomizes bosses and monsters outside of Draculas Castle
- Gave Kingslayer altfire Fireball; Erdrick Mace Reload is Shotgun attack; Lincoln Main Reload is Impaler Bow; Erdrick now has Shield defence same as Kuros= defends and Reflects from Front. Upgraded Shield Code. Erdrick Mace Altfire now throws a Torch
- Rebalanced the Entire bestiary spawns to be more coherent.
- If using GZD 3.8 to 4.10 or LZDoom 3.88-- Universal Rain and Snow is compatible. Not compatible on GZD 4.11
- Immerse.Pk3 is also compatible.
- Liquid Texture Pack 5.0 and up is compatible-- REWROTE ENTIRE

Castlevania 3 for Simon's Destiny is much how it sounds. It brings the Characters of Castlevania 3( and others for fun) to the table along with new monsters, new difficulty settings, and new abilities unique to each character. Also includes Castlevania/Castle Maps to add further enjoyment and Challenge.
AUTHOR NOTE: --- My Advice: This mod has a custom difficulty settings. It is HARD from Full Moon on up even to me as it's creator. If you want the most balanced experience then start as Lincoln because his Shield will give you plenty of breathing room. Enable Jumping and Crouching. Break every Candle and odd block you come across because they are the source of weapons. All Starter Weapon ALtfires are use of the current Subweapon. THere are now 2 HUD types: my customized Kaensar HUD is the classic bar, and Simon's Destiny on the Alt HUD (turn off the GZdoom Alternate HUD off. Use the Plus or Minus buttons to pick which one you want.

1.CV1: Castlevania Monsters in all maps. only minor randoms. Set Boss string in line with Castlevania 1 at Dracula's Castle.
2. CV2: Same as above mostly but more aligned to Simons Quest type monsters. Dracula Castle Bosses are similar to CV2 proper specifically at Dracula fight.
3. CV3: Finally the real different monsters appear in line close to Castlevania 3 style. Dracula Castle is inline close to CV3 boss roster.
4. Dracula X: Now we're out of the numbered titles. First truly Randomized set of Monsters and Bosses. Dracula is different than prior difficulties as he evolves
5. Symphony of the Night: Mayhem and hopefully lives up to the hype of the title! Full Randomized bosses and monsters again, but at 50% health values! its not easier. It just has a stronger set of randomizers going.
6. Rondo of Blood: This one is for pure masochism or challenge. Very few monsters are random, and all are chosen for tactics or impediment, but NOT unfair!
7. Blood Moon: This one is my personal Ode to Simon's Destiny top difficulty, mainly by leaving mostly intact.
///////////////////////////////////////////////// CLASSES AND STARTING WEAPONS:
Every Character has a SKILL bound to the reload key!!! I bind reload key to Shift. Every character has mostly unique abilities on the Castlevania Subweapons. Subweapons and Skills can only be used on the Starter Weapon of each character. Every other non-starter weapon can be used by everyone.
Trevor Belmont-- Yes he wore brown in the original NES version just like Simon. Uses the Flame ChainWhip right from the start and the Skill ability does a slower but stronger and longer range whip attack. Has one of the best outputs for Subweapon damage. Subweapon variance: Dagger shoots 3 in a straight line; Throws 3 Holy Waters in a horizontal arc; Throws 3 Crosses.
Lincoln- Magic Shield + Sword: A sword that swings in a wide arc. The mainfire can be held for a short charge up before it releases an explosion wave. No ammo needed. While SHIELD is showing you are INVINCIBLE. The Skill attack fires a Impaler Crossbow has no ammo limitations. Whenever the Shield is NOT showing you can be hurt. Has mediocre subweapon output akin to original Simon's Destiny. Normal Subweapons.
Sypha: Starts with Fire Wand: Primary is unlimited which shoots a short range fire. Skill attack is a Freezing Wind spell that will freeze enemies and is free to use. All Subweapon attacks do ICE style attacks except for the Axe and Bible. Subweapon variance: Dagger= 3 Ice Bolts; Holy Water = Ice Wall; Axe throws straighter with zero arc; Boomerang= Frost Shard and fast fire rate.
Grant- Has the fastest MOVE SPEED. Melee attack can deflect projectiles if timed right. Really short range melee compared to everyone else. Grant has really good Subweapon output. Subweapon Variance: Daggers are thrown one at a time but can be spammed!; Holy Water= Holy Hand Grenade becareful because it can kill you; Axe= Throws 2 axes at different vertical arcs
Angmar- Starts with Magic Gauntlets: Primary fires a melee attack that also vampire Health back into you. Skill ability is FLIGHT at zero cost. Has the best Subweapon attacks. Believe it or not, he is Not overpowered. He's simply a very powerful wizard. Subweapon variance: Dagger= 3 piercing Lightning Bolts; Holywater= Exploding Hammer; Axe= ThunderBolt; Boomerang= Frost Nova
Alucard- A lone warrior battling the undead: Starts with a Silver Sword, and some magic. His Skill attack is a fireball and the occasional ice ball; no ammo needed. His Subweapon output is average vanilla CSD. He has the highest Jump height.
Baratus: A barbarian warrior Punches with the best of them. Average Subweapon non-unique attacks. Starts with No range weapons.
Erdrick: A vikeing helmed warrior famous for slaying dragons. Has a functional normal style shield that will reflectin the front. NO SUBWEAPON USE. Altfire on his mace throws a Torch for free. Reload Button shoots a Shotgun(odd choice I know, but its like year 1500 CE or later).
Arthur the King: a for fun Champ based on Ghosts and Goblins. His max Health is 50 unless he gets a Holy Shield Item. Main attack is Dagger throw, altfire is Subweapons which are Normal style, but close to his actual game. yes his skeleton explodes when he dies. Jump height close to his Game standards.
Kuros: The wizard hunter. Another NES hero graces the game. Very freaking powerful at start. his Shield works just like Erdricks. Altfire is a boomerang axe. Reload is for normal style subweapons. High jump and slowish fall just like his game.

ALL WEAPONS EXCEPT BOOK are free shooting on Main Fire button. Altfire uses hearts dependent on weapon!

Weapons to be found: All of these weapons can be found at the old Whip Upgrade spots or 1000 gold spots. Happy hunting. All Main Fires except the Big Freezing Book are free cost.
Long Bow: A Magic bow that shoots a Freezing arrow on the Altfire costs 1 hearts per shot. You can press and hold and release with both firing types.
Hunter's CrossBow: Fires bolts. Altfire shoots an Exploding Fire Bolt.
Volcano Hammer: Hybrid Melee and Ranged Weapon. Altfire throws an exploding hammer. main fire swings a slow melee attack that also does a damaging shockwave centered on you, but doesn't hurt you.
Gold Wand: straighforward and simple weapon Primary Fire shoots a Electric Puff. Alt fire casts a 3 Piercing Shock Bolts that can have a tight but random spread . Mainfire costs nothing, Altfire costs 1 hearts per cast.
Big Freezing Book: A magic Tome that fires a freezing cloud and Lightning. Main fire shoots Lightning Spell. ALtFire costs 14 mana per click. Lightning Spell costs 1 per cast.
Twin Axe "Beater and Biter": Altfire attack throws 1 piercing axe. 1 second cool down. No ammo cost.
Royal Trident- Altfire shoots 4 fast shots at an economical cost of 1 heart. Main Fire is a melee attack. Poke Poke.
Vampire Killer XBow: A strong Crossbow that fires fast. Altfire does triple burst
BoomStick: A single barrel shotgun that reloads fast.

MONSTER Cast: monsters are now randomized. This doesn't mean an Imp Spawn will spawn a Cyberdemon level monster.
Skeleton: A naked skeleton that is melee only
Merman: a Snake creature that shoots energy balls
Red Gargoyle: small imp, flies, melee only.
Black Gargoyle: Similar to Red version. Throws little fireballs
Skeleton Knight: Throws axes.
Zombie Soldier: Little armored imps that melee and shoot arrows.
Wizard: Flying wizard that is invisbile until hit or attacks
Zombie WarLord: Bigger Moblin that shoots many arrows at once.
Vampire Legionairre: A heavy armored melee only warrior. Deflects attacks from the front.
Golem: giant mummy that shoots a partially seeking projectile. Spits a Ghastsoul when it dies.
GhastSoul: A blue flying ghost that shoots.
Wendigo: Ice monster
Daemonic Wizard: Ground demon lady that shoots a wave of fireballs.
Big Gargoyle: shoot fireballs.
Reiver: undead flying wizard that shoots fireballs
Vampire: Flying Cloaked dude that shoots bats and gargoyles.
Serpent: a mean lizard fire breather
Maulotaur; Bipedal bull that can ram and throws fireballs.
BOSS MONSTERS: These guys are also randomized. They are super rare and only seen toward the end of the game. Besides the Castlevania monsters, there are others and should be fun to see if you can see them all!
Serpent Rider: Rides a Serpent and will fire lots of different projectiles.
MegaTaur: The OG Maulotaur of Heretic.
Cheoghganon: He's a "crossover" character. Hard fight.
Fallen Hero: Legendary warrior
Fallen ArchMage: Legendary mage
Doppleganger: What is a man? A miserable pile of secrets.
Shaft: A Lightning wizard
New Dracula forms: Look the same, Fight different.

It works on GZD 3.8 at lowest or up to GZD 4.11.1
GZdoom 3.8 or LZDoom 3.88 are the minimum needed to play.
Hotfix for Mod Compatibilty for Universal Rain and Snow and Liquid Texture Pack 6.8.-- Just fixed internal stuffs so they work properly.
