No more delays, no more speculations! Version 20 will be released on June 5th.
With v20 release there will also be the Starter Pack, featuring a "unzip and play" installation system, and 30 new maps.

FreeDoom is only used as a base, to provide textures and sprites to make it able to run without requiring Doom. 99% of the maps are new, and made by myself. There are only 3 or 4 maps from FreeDoom, and they are heavily modified.

I noticed that you can now dual wield weapons like the assault riffle and the plasma gun. Does doing that simply cause 2x the damage? Because that doesn't really sound very balanced to me :/

Ahh... so much blood! And the weapons are even better! But what is that swinging from the shotgun?
The Shotgun has a sling strap on the bottom that's what your seeing swaying back and forth underneath it

Although the new weapons look cool and I'll try them all, would be great to have the option to stick to the more original doom like v19 experience.

Is that a joke? Store.steampowered.com is a good start. Otherwise, you're on the internet, you can find it yourself.
I'm not going to pay $15.00 for abandonware. I downloaded it for free before but I don't remember where. I have wasted my data on several bad downloads trying to find it.
The fact that it is on Steam means the game isn't abandonware. I don't think you know what that term means...

I found it out there. The time will be 10:00 PM on UTC timezone. Just for v20.
Starter pack will become available on following weeks:
"Brutal Doom v20 will be released this Friday night. It will be uploaded to Moddb's database around 10 PM UTC (search google for "10 PM UTC" and it will say what time will be in your timezone) and might take an hour or two for admins to authorize it.
Unfortunately, only the main file will be updated. I was not able to finish all the maps for the starter pack, so I decided to postpone the release of the Starter Pack, and not delay the release of Brutal Doom v20. I will release the Starter Pack on the following weeks."
