Your favourite Duke Nukem 3D weapon - now brutalized! Slot 5, sometimes replaces the Rocket Launcher
I think all of us love the Devastators. So why not bring them to Brutal Doom to make your killing more satisfying?
The primary fire releases 2 small, fast rockets - one precise and one slightly randomized. They each deal 80 damage. There is no alt fire nor weapon special.
You can either be patient and wait for it to spawn instead of a rocket launcher, or summon it by typing "summon Devastator" or "summon DevastatorSpawner".
No, there will not be a Project Brutality version (unless someone ports it for me then sure).
To load it with your Brutal Doom setup, unzip it somewhere and load the .pk3 file of your choice after Brutal Doom.
You can use the gun this addon in your addon pack/mod, just please credit me and everyone involved.
There are 2 versions of this addon:
- DevastatorsREVMISSILES - the gun uses Revenant's missile launcher's ammunition.
- DevastatorsROCKETS - the gun uses rockets.
Loading both is pointless!
23.09.2021:
- Fixed compability with base BD on zandronum
- Updated compability for Dox's Personalized Brutal Doom v21.
27.01.2021
- Added the 'inventory.althudicon' property to work properly with Gearbox addon.
15.12.2020
- Added a new file that includes compability with my Personalized Addon.
30.10.2020
Fixed those errors popping up upon load.
13.10.2020
Fixed the projectiles being very slow on certain difficulties.
8.10.2020
The screen will now move smoother during recoil.
6.10.2020
- Nerfed its damage again down to 240. Hopefully that'll make it slightly more balanced.
1.10.2020
- Remade the select/kick animations in which the 2 parts of the gun were bending in an unusual way. The weapon's supposed to be stiff, not rubbery.
- Rebalanced the damage! To compensate for a rather RNG-ish accuracy I buffed its damage, now the most damage you can do with that gun is 452 (compared to rocket launcher's 400).
------------------------------
- QUICK UPDATE - nerfed its damage. It's a lil op now so I dropped the damage down to 300 damage at most. It's still more powerful than the rocket launcher because of its firerate lol

shells in both cases fly very slowly!
The latest version (1.2) has the faster rockets. Have you tried updating?
When I saw the word "Devastators" I thought that you had put the Devastator Marines from Warhammer 40,000 or Devastator from Transformers into Brutal Doom.
what exactly should you upgrade? I installed 1.2 version, the flights fly so slowly that it is easy to overtake them far ahead
perhaps it's not fast enough for you then, as the projectiles are way faster compared to the first release.
Oh, my favourite Duke Nukem 3D weapon
Moar Brutalized Duke nukem guns plz
The projectiles are too slow on tactical mode
Just tested it. The speeds are identical to both normal and tactical classes. Can you record a video and show me just how "slow" they are?
Sorry my bad, it actually happens when playing on Black Metal difficuly, they go as slow as the revenant launchers missiles when playing on black metal too.
Finally some useful information, jesus. I'll look into it, thank you.
One of my all time favourite vidya weapons, smoothly made and well balanced.
This experimental beast of a gun is great for pounding away at demons and alien bastards alike, never leave your ride without it.
Excellent job.
It looks really cool! I like!
There is a mod that replaces Brutal Doom weapons with the ones from Duke Nukem 3D (Shotgun, Pistol and Rocket Launcher), ask the author if he would let you use his weapons to make a full DN3D weapons pack
Here, Moddb.com
good job the mod i loved it
