Brutal Doom Platinum is a fork of Brutal Doom designed to keep the original mod's vision, while adding polish, features, and variety. Previously known as 'Dox's Personalized Brutal Doom', this mod is in active development

Description

Why MkII? Because that's what I named it on my hard drive to distinguish between this and the original Resound pack that never released Please note that this addon is now deprecated and will not be updated further as the relationship between me and Emerald is so dogshit that its not even worth wasting my time working on it. I'm sorry for anyone who was interested in further updates, but I cannot bring myself to waste more time on a brutal mod made by a shit person

Shotties should sound a bit louder/punchier and the bass levels on the rifles need to be toned down slightly but otherwise great work!

Alright, thanks for the feedback

Shotgun sounds are currently placeholders

My question is why are you so adamant on keeping the Doomguy voice and not letting us use our own? lol Seems kind of unnecessary

You can use your own. Load it after the resound to override it

Would it be possible if you made an adjustment to the chaingun sound? I love pretty much every sound you made but the wind up for the chaingun imo is way too loud and it hurts my ears. Other than that, I have no complaints

Sorry, but no. I'm no longer working on this

I've put this sound add-on (and Brutal Doom Platinum as a whole) in the past

Feel free to rip open the PK3 and do what you see fit with it

Will this also work with regular Brutal Doom v21?

Yes...? They use the same sound file names and such.

Question. It's a rar file but when I try to extract the files from the rar it says there is nothing in it. What gives? How do I access the resound?

Are you using 7-zip or Winrar?

Any chance you can remove the western ricochet bullet sounds as it's not to my liking at all? Everything else is spot on but them ricochet sounds from wild west movies doesn't fit in doom in my opinion.

No. As it stands, I'm not wasting any more time working on this as the Lead Dev of BDP made me waste my time making this add-on just to boot me from her server because I was too negative with my criticisms. I'm sorry if you feel slighted, but I'd recommend ripping the sounds out in slade by yourself

No. But all it shows is your zombie sounds and HUD. But no gun sound effects. Did you remove those as well?

Does it work with original Brutal Doom or only with Platinum???

UPD: Nevermind, i found out myself. And it is compatible with vanilla Brutal Doom, BUT not all of the sounds are replaced. Like the Pistol sound, Auto Shotgun sound or MP is not changed.

The reasons some sounds don't get replaced are either because I started developing exclusively for BDP. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. I'm not going to update or work on this Add-on anymore as it's bad for my mental health

The sound package itself is good, but the sounds of ricochets are simply terrible, it is impossible to listen to them. It feels like they were taken from comedy cartoons about cowboys from the 40s, 60s, and 80s. In short, in the end, I demolished the folder with the sounds of ricochets in this mod. Thank you for putting them in a separate folder with a convenient name, I had to bother less and thank God.

My guy, they literally were

That was the point of having them: To sound different than the usual realistic slop you get
