This looks great.I hope you will add new dwarven armours similiar to hobbit movies
Awesome
it awesome did you watch do movie i thought that tranduil was a total pussy leaving half his army getting killed.
WARNING THIS BECAME A LOOOOONG POST, BUT I THINK IT WORTH READING IT!
To be honest I think the movie was terrible. We couldn't see any arrow volleys, but several elves were killed in Dale by arrows, the 1000000000000000000000000 elven archers it seems were just there to be massarced, not to fire a single arrow....
Lee Pace played well the behaviour parts, but the writers gave him ridicoulus sentences "your mother loved you/ because it was real" -- oh come on, that was just a big bunch of slavering romantic unnecessary sh*t :\
The dwarven goat charge were cut out (thanks to God) but in the middle of the battle--- suddenly there was 4 goats for Thorin from the nowhere?!
Another thing is that the dwarves were being killed heavy, low in numbers, then Thorin charges out, and instantly goes to kill Azog (who was killed by Dain in the battle of Moria -_-)
Why did the remaining ~200 dwarves won the battle, after Azog was slaughtered? The 10000000000000 orcs were still there? Were they killed automatically after the fall of their leader? What was that, a stupid capture-the-flag game?
Lastly the film was not finished... we don't know if Thranduil receives those stupid white gems (fictional as well), and Dain II, and Bard becames a king + we don't even see a f*cking funureal of the fallen dwarves (+Bombur is supposed to be killed, but ---as he did not have a stupid "brotherhood/elf-love is my life" role, the directors thought it is unnecessary to do something as it is written in the books)
I cannot tell you how dissapointed i was with the film. The Charge music was very good, though --- all that 8 seconds of it :\
2/10 :( --- worst LotR movie of the two trilogy...
Well, the dwarves won because the eagles along with Beorn and Radagast arrived. The goats are prob in the Extended Edition and so it makes sense that they'll be on the battle field. And there was one volley fired by the elves which wasn't shown (it's hard to explain; Thranduil ordered them to aim and they shot but before you could see them shoot, the camera switched back to the battle between orcs & dwarves or something. I guess there'll be a full volley in the Extended Edition). Also, in General you didn't really get much to see from the fighting elves.
Anyways, I feel like the Extended Edition will be awesome
the extended edition only ads on another 15 minutes to the movie
I have a really good imagination so I will try to fill in the gaps from mine own head :p
DainII saw that he could not win the battle with only 500 dwarves so he brings the big armada ballistas they are like giant crossbows (Which you will see in the extended movie) being a slow war machines he needs them to be guarded from the elves so he supports the ballistas with 300 heavy ram riding dwarfs. Which they arrive to late for the battle but not too late to turn the tide of the battle.
thranduil army retreats to defend dale but are overrun with goblins and slowly being killed to the last elf, being such a elvish pussy he desides that it is better let the goblin take dale and erebor and retreats to defend mirkwood.
dain II being hardcore massacre the goblin army plus with there leader being slain and watching the dwarfs reinforcement killing half there army while there reinforcement are being wasted by eagles they deside it would be better to run and scatters.
Dain II becomes the king of the lonely mountain while bard king of dale, wanting to honor thorins death dains buy the arkenstone from bard and gives to jewels to bain bard's son as a gift of friendship who bard gives to thranduil. And orcish the goblins cleaver is barried with thorin with the arkenstone.
Enjoy my version of the battle. ;p (And thanks for answering me no one ever did that ;D and great mod by the way.
You might get from my pic that im a supporter of the dwarven armies so you better be careful about what you're saying about dwarves. :D
I agree. And i am an avid dwarven supporter too
,say rather im addicted to dwarves..... i do not know why and its good to see another dwarven fan just like me it warms my heart. Elves are so mainstream i hate their amror lol sucks to be an elf. Dwarves on the otherhand are shinny :) :) :) hahahahahaha something about the dwarves that i cant explain why i love them so much.
It's the gold it's so shiny with that perfect yellow it almost makes you addicted to it :D.
Except the book specifically says he only brought 500 warriors....
