Hey there.
If you are reading this, then you are probably looking to join up with our talented team of designers. Please, before you post, be sure to read and follow any guidelines that are posted here.
Thank you.
- First off, you have to be dedicated to the project. Now, that doesn't mean that you can only work on this project, but you should have enough dedication to this project so as to complete at least some work to show for each month.
- Second, we have a current deadline for an update once every month, at the end of the month. While we do not enforce this deadline, we do expect at least some amount of progress each month. We are not paying anyone, so that allows for a more "lenient" schedule. If you don't like strict, enforced deadlines, we are the team to join!
- Lastly, while beggars can't be choosers, I don't think that we are that desperate. If you are just getting started with you chosen profession, or you are unable to meet one of the requirements stated above, please do not apply. If you believe that you can fill one of the roles in the above post, let me know through Email or ModDB or IndieDB. All I need is an example of your previous works.
Now, why should you join up with our team?
- You will be participating in the creation of an ambitious and not-to-mention, popular modification. The community is dedicated and the engine itself (Source) is popular as well. That being said, your work will not only be seen, but noted with credits and "endorsed" by the mod.
- Freedom from deadlines. As I said above, we do have a passive deadline at the end of each month, but that is not a goal, rather it is simply a way of letting the community know that we are still hard at work. No need to rush for them, unlike professional deadlines.
- While we aren't independent now, who knows what the future will bring? The engine itself is known for some great independent titles. Anyone ever heard of Dear Esther? How about Nuclear Dawn? Orion? These are all independent titles released on the Source engine. Who knows, if we do a good enough job, we might be able to license this project and make some money off of it. It wouldn't be the first time.
I hope that this makes you consider this project as a professional one, in need of some equally professional team members.
