Battlefield: Mafia is about the gang wars that took place during the roaring 1920's and early 1930's. The setting is Newport City, a large atlantic port city with much geograpic diversity including mountain get-aways, industrial ports, glittering beaches, commercial skyscrapers, and the entire city itself. Battlefield: Mafia uses weapons and vehicals that were current to era including the infamous Tommy Gun. All settings, characters, and gangs are based on real places and gangs.
Newport late 1920's and early 1930's,
Newport City is a haven for people comming to indulge in the fine retail and sun soaked shores of the Atlantic. The streets buzz with people young and old looking for a little fun, and when the sun sets into the skyline the city comes alive in the clubs and bars around town. Behind the glitz and glamour lurks an underworld of crime and corruption. Power and wealth beyond your wildest dreams. The gangs take to the streets fighting for turf and respect, and they dont care who gets in the way. You are now caught in a fight between the Gotti Mafia and the Newport Police.
