What if the Cylons hadn't been able to hack into the Colonial defence network? What if instead of shutting down all the Battlestars with the push of a button they had instead had to fight their way through the layers of defences that had been built up over forty years of uneasy peace. This mod aims to allow you to find out for yourself. Take command of the mighty Colonial fleet or the colossal Cylon armada and fight for the Twelve Colonies!
New FTL effect as displayed by a Colonial Battlestar Group.

You know I am starting to wonder if that missile 'shield' makes my ship too powerful. Aurora can take more punishment then any other ship in the fleet, so much so that I often run the ship with light support of one or two other ships, normally an Odin and Minerva.
Good to see the FTL effect being added in finally. :)
Yeah I downloaded an older version of Sci-fi at war which had all of the ftl files in it. And finally discovered that it's lua scripts that make it work...
As for Aurora.... the missile shield in my experience is a mixed bag, thanks to the randomness of what it lets through. Sometimes a nuke, sometimes just a few normal missiles. I find that if you activate it then sit back and focus on something else assuming it will survive then you're in for a shock when you look back at where it was.
That said, I can look at it and see what I can do..... maybe reduce the effectiveness of the missile shield, or add a movement/firepower penalty to make it fairer.
Well, thankfully she is a hero unit and not a tech tree ship. I have noticed however that the ship is slower while the field is active. And a strange thing I've experienced is that the ship often won't fire, regardless of if ordered too or not. It's actually something I've seen on all ships, including Galactica.
I think that's due to me reducing the fire cones of the turrets. When a ship is on a different layer and it's too low or high then it's out of the fire cones so can't fire. I wanted to stop shots from shooting out the sides of gun barrels but I think I adjusted the levels too much
Props for using 'Mandala in the Clouds' as a battle track. :^)
Damn right I did! Awesome track.
Any plans on using some of the more rock oriented tracks as well, such as 'Kara's coordinates?'
Don't see why not
