Some more progress to update you on.
I've had the Mercury and Odin classes re-rigged by Atarisulfur to give the Battlestars a more accurate armament. The Mercury has been given the correct number of turrets (30 rather than 26) and the 8 fixed bow cannons (previously the front 2 turrets fulfilled this role) as well as an increased number of flak guns. The Odin class has had the fixed turrets replaced by moveable ones and a number of flak guns added so that the secondary turrets can be used for anti-capital guns. She's also had a battery of six missile silos added to the spine for long range firepower. This is balanced out to some extent by the reduction of damaged caused by Valkyries primary and secondary batteries to reflect the fact that they are much smaller cannons than those fitted on the bigger Battlestars.

And finally, Ablative armour. The shield mechanic is going to be reworked into a sacrificial armour layer that needs to be stripped before hull and turret damage can be caused. Cosmetic changes such as removing shield effects for impacts and changing the colour of the shield bar will be implemented.
