Battleforce seeks to emmulate and enhance the onslaught mode of UT2004, by adding much needed realism and tactics to the arcade style game. Tactics will be the most important aspect of the game experience. Players must work as a team to win a match.
Battleforce will also introduce a resource gathering system to the game to allow players to upgrade their character with new weapons and vehicles to help the fight. Simply access the player menue and click on the appropriate upgrades and you character will receive a new kit, or vehicle.
The core of the Battleforce experience will be team work. Without it you WILL fail. Vehicles and player classes are designed to compliment and augment each other. A team of all one class will not do well. An example of a good team strategy: One player picks the pilot class and another pick the support class. They both capture and defend points untill they have a good deal of resources. The pilot would spend her/his resources on the purchase of a transport craft. The support player would purchase an APC vehicle. Now this is a good strategy because the APC can be loaded with up to 6 additional players, then lifted by the transport craft to the battle. The APC would then be placed in the fight and the troops would deploy. The Transporter could then go get more troops or stay and give cover fire. The APC also serves as a mobile fire support vehicle, and a place for the troops to reload and heal. As you can see these elements of the game are designed to function together. Of course there are many ways to counter these tactics, so the whole team must plan and work together to deal with any opposition.
There will be no super powerful rule game class or vehicles. They may be untouchable in certain situations,IE Tank vs soldier with a rifle, But there will always be a counter measure.

-scout-able to access fast ground vehicles-light armour and heavy weapons
-combat engineer-able to access support vehicles and build defensive structures-med weapons and armour
-medic-able to access hospital vehicles-light armour and heavy weapons
-demolitions-able to access light vehicles-heavy armour and weapons

TEAMS
the game will have two teams. The Northstar Alliance and the Southern Peoples republic. Each side will have distinctive uniforms and vehicles. Also there will be special vehicles exclusive to each side.

Excellent mod fellows! The APC reminds me of that one vehichle in tribes 2, and the vtol i get reminded of from mechassault 2. Hoverbike doesnt really look like the one in starwars, but reminiscent. Excellent work guys, keep at it!
