This is Battlefield 2 like you have never experienced it before!
If you are like me, and most other people, vanilla BF2 infantry gameplay has always felt lackluster, and left a lot more to be desired. The weapons in regular Battlefield 2 always had almost no recoil, or the bullets deviate all over the place. This always resulted in sloppy gunplay.
Well, this conversion brings not only better infantry combat, and better weapon and bullet dynamics, but it also visually exceeds in stunning detail!
This is how you have always wanted BF2 to feel and play. The character models and handheld weapons are amazing!
The lighting and vegitation and ground textures really polish this game and make it look much more up to modern day standards.
The mod is far from 100%, and will be getting more support by the developer, but already it shows so much promise!
Simply 'perfecto'. Mod covers so many visual and gameplay aspects that it really deserved more attention :)
The mogs are great! He invested a lot of energy, and time. And it is felt! But I probably will not put 10 because of the ports from the BF4, although they are not bad, but sometimes it seems to me that I'm playing bf4, not bf2. + This is a giant system requirement. Most people play in BF2 on weak PCs (4 cores and 4 gigabytes of RAM, these are standard characteristics for people.) And so the mod is excellent! Good luck with your work!
Review for: BFHD Remastered Mod for Battlefield 2 (BFHD 2.0B)
Maps are freaking fantastic. Each one I picked just shows proof of delicate work and the power of this outdated engine. Here is the live proof of fact that to this day this engine still has potential.
Graphics. Hats off to this section. Not only maps were given a proper rework, but also the graphics quality. This was a severe problem with the base game, along with extension and booster packs. I find no issue whatsoever running the maps and even improving to the maximum limit possible
Weapons are a controversial part. Although I’m not that big fan seeing newer battlefield titles weapons in BF2. This is still much better than copy-cat garbage from 2014-2015. I would personally recommend you remaster the base game weapons because it’s the way Battlefield 2 was meant to be played
Bad Parts:
Vehicles are still plain vanilla, and that is unfortunate. I won’t give penalty for this part as fixing and adding new vehicles take hella-of-a lot of time to do so. Again a recommendation to add the cut vehicles from Euro Forces or remaster the base game ones
I can forgive the weapons from newer titles, but the problematic balance nope. Shotguns just destroy infantry and vehicles. No joke, in one of my streams when I shot a dude with 870, he flew that high in the sky, that he landed on a tower from Sharqi. For that issue I’m taking a point
Sadly you can’t play this mod stable without some crashes kicking in. Happens not that often,but its still a thing that disturbs gameplay. Again in my stream the game crashes 2 times in a row, making the situation very strange for me
HUD is kinda boring to be honest. I never liked the style that Play4Free had, same applies with this one included in the mod. Not taking a point, but I recommend you changing it up in V3.0 or later versions

Realistic approach and improvement BFHD provides to Battlefield 2 is astounding, lots of fun maps, interesting weapons to choose and other interesting tweaks to the game make different style of gameplay with each start-up. Bad parts still kick-in for a bit in the mod’s mark. But those can be fixed with some patches and small fixes. Can’t wait to see a remaster for Special Forces, night-maps were always neglected with the game. And as you might know, I have a weakness for them.
This sums up the adventures in BFHD,really loved the time spent on this modification. Mod Replay is going to happen for this one, but at a later time.I hope you liked this review,thank you for reading this!

This mod is awesome! It basically turns BF2 into a 2015 tittle with all the gameplay and graphic improvements you would expect from a newer tittle.
It is important for me to point out that even thou the author suggest a GPU with 1.5GB of RAM I can run it comfortably on a Macbook Pro 2015 15'' Touchbar Core I5 2.9GHZ with a ****** Intel Iris 550 GPU (512MB dedicated) and I get constant 80+ FPS for me with all settings on MAX and 1080P resolution. (Lowest was around 50fps)
So, even if you don't meet the system requirements go for it!
