yay for stupid vc ai. Made the making of the video harder than it was suppose to be. Getting stuck in buildings, swerving all over the place, flipping over. In fact, it did that a couple of times in the video, like that last one, which was absolutely hilarious. Wonder how that guy on top survived. Anyhow, not much to say, except escape the lybians. This one took long enough. Handling was a horror, with the ai constantly flipping and blowing up the van, but I found a good one at last. Enjoy!

I love it, fantastic!

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

too bad you can't see the rear deck that well on youtube.

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

Thats ok, I'm sure I'll get to see all that soon enough. I still am laughing from the video of the lybians.

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

which part. The part where they flip, or the part where they run into a car and explodeeeee.

You know, if I had kitt, this would be a very short chase. *uses rocket launcher*

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

The very end. when they hit that car, and Kaboom..I knew it was coming but I had kinda forgot about it, because I was still laughing from the flip.

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

Haha, go figure.

You know, they like to run over Haitians, so that kinda pisses them off sometimes. Funny when they get stuck and haitians are all over, only to be killed by the exploding van. The gunner's died a couple of times too.

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

I'm really impressed with that aspect the most, I didn't know If the gunner would work or weather a dummy would just be standing there. so that's cool

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

eh, it's no different than the missions in vice city where they have cars and gunners shooting you.

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

Sure, I haven't played vice city in like four years so I really don't remeber many missions from the game.

The hard part was the handling. The van keeps on flipping over, which I suspect would happen in real life if you didn't use the handbrake.

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

I hate to say this but the same thing happens with griff's bmw so I changed it to mach the del's and know I won't flip as easy. works great. might be somthing to consider. anyways. I all Starting to come together.

off topic: Did you appreciate the time curcit display change for the back one del?

Jun 28 2007 Anchor

well, i really didn't have time to look at it, but yeah.

Jun 29 2007 Anchor

Hehehe that vid was funny. Yeah the handling's kind of weird I kind of took the one from the rusted VW and modified it a little.

Backintime: What handling are you using for Griff's BMW? Cause mine won't flip at all, I get it up to top speed at the airport pull the handbrake use the regular brake the car whips around some but it wouldn't leave the ground, running like it's on a rail. I may have changed it after 2b was released though so that could be why, If the same problem's happening to you too Delorean please tell me so I can give you the one I have.

Jun 29 2007 Anchor

Yeah, I edited the handling a bit so it's a little bit better

I don't have the same problem with the bmw, no flips. But, I kinda need to change the suspension because the new wheels are a bit too low and not inline with those device thingies.

Jun 30 2007 Anchor

Yeah the wheels don't line up with those things very well, I thought it had to be something with the dummies but moving them did practically nothing.

K, this first one is the one with the mod, I can't remember if it is the original comet handling or if the installer changed it.
What seems to be happening is that the car has a tendancy to want to turn over rather easily, such as when you hit a tree or a building and so on, once it goes over it won't roll back on it's wheels. which was my main aggravation with it.

1600.0 2.10 5.00 1.90 .00 .10 .10 70 .90 .84 .53 5 300.00 40.00 R P 8.17 .52 0 35.00 1.40 .12 .30 .62 19000 .20 -.15 .50 .25 A903 1 1

and here's what I changed it to:

1600.0 2.00 4.40 1.30 .00 .00 -.30 70 .95 .85 .47 5 300.00 40.00 R P 11.00 .52 0 30.00 1.80 .19 .37 .62 95000 .25 -.10 .50 .40 100A907 1 1

This is basically the same handling the back 1 and back 2 deloreans have mixed with some of the comet handling, works great for me now.

Jun 30 2007 Anchor

Ok, the first handling line is the one I have and I just took the car on a little rampage ramming into everything I could and the car did not flip over easily. I know it is hard to reflip but that's because of how low the car is. Another thing, which may be the problem, do the wheels of the car slightly sink into the ground? You could just have the bad .dff file. Also rebuilding the archive could help if you did not do it after the car was installed.

I switching the griff's bmw issue discussion over to "car disscussion". I just realized we were in the lybian chase area. oops lol
