Back to Basics is a full conversion mod for Company of Heroes and its expansions. This is the Panzer Elite Supply Halftrack, upgraded with the new "Repair Halftrack" upgrade. When upgraded the Supply Halftrack can rapidly repair vehicles, next to the standard healing infantry and resupply your units.

thats cheating americans wont shot at this since they would think its an medic halftrack but if they knew it could also repair vehicles it would be gone like snap :P
Well, consider that a strategy to trick the enemy.
Why is it wearing a Hedic HT skin? If it can upgarde to either a Medic HT or a Repair HT, why no change the skin with a State with each upgrade?
Because it's a combo unit. When you build the Supply Halftrack it can resupply units and heal infantry. With this upgrade it can also repair.
Maybe the Americans dont no what German Pionier ( Engineers) are doing. There are responsible for build bridges, handle with explosives, laying Mines and as a specialised unit called Sturmpioniere they use Flamethrowers but they not healing wounded or repair vehicles, first is the work of Sanitäter ( with 251/8) and secound of Werkstattkompanie/instandsetzung minor damage will be repaired by vehiclecrew ( Tankcrew etc).This is a Model of 251/7 Pionierwagen let em lay Mines ,repair/build Bridges, or drop Goliaths , maybe repair Vehicles .
Thanks for the History lesson there. I'm dutch not American and I surely know how these vehicles were used. However we didn't want to create an extra unit to BtB, and encourage people to build the Logistik Kompanie more. We already made that the Vampire can call in a small mortar barrage, and that the Scout Car comes with the upgrade already applied so you can secure territory right away. We also felt that we needed to improve the Supply Halftrack. The first thing we did was indeed giving it a healing aura, and now we added this upgrade for it so it can also repair vehicles. The main reason for this was that the Bergetiger is a call-in for the Scorched Earth Tactics, so the Panzer Elite didn't have a fast repair unit anymore.
We do not aim for 100% realistic units, in fact off-map artillery isn't realistic at all. We add more realism with the weapons system and so, but we also want to keep a nice gameplay. There is no point in adding 100 units for each army, it makes stuff complicated and kills gameplay.
you are right adding completely new units riuns gamelpay and qualitty like it did in normandy 44 which i like but its has alot of faults
it best iy units can purchase new upgrades so you can build the units of the same type and upgrade them to diffrent variants
