"We thought we were alone. We believed the universe was ours, until one night in 2063 on an Earth colony 6 light years away they struck... and now we are at war. My name is Lieutenant Colonel TC McQueen. I'm an In Vitro, a race of artificially gestated humans. I command a marine corp squadron, the 58th. They call us the 'Wild Cards'. We fight when called - in space, on land... and at sea. To lose this war means more than defeat. To surrender is to never go home. All of us must rise to the call above and beyond". That may stir strong memories, as it was the text that McQueen spoke in the intro against the back screen of the colony ship and its destruction by the chig forces... a very powerful moment. One that is also re-constructed through the mercury engine in the opening cut-scene sequence to B : SAAB. Though the series only lasted one season, it has gained a cult following and now is still re-run on the Sci Fi networks. SAAB was a milestone for its time in terms...

Description

This is the standard dropship for the UEF faction.
With two pilots in the cockpit (both pilot and
gunner), it is the primary workhorse of the UEF.
When destroyed, the cockpit detaches, so that the
pilots are saved, and may float through space
towards earth in their capsul, eventually touching
down on the ground (ala the season finale).

The ACP consists of three elements, the cockpit
capsul, the mainframe, and the container. The
Cargo Container is the main body of the ship which
can "unlock" and detach from the acp.
When dropping in an LZ, the ACP will just quickly
touch down long enough to drop the container, then
will "punch out", so that even drops in
hot territory are possible. FURTHERMORE, it is up
to debate as of now if Cargo containers will be
allowed as a secondary spawn point. Interesting
discussions to follow to be sure!

Note- This model was created by a VERY talented
member of the original SAAB mod team of homeworld.
Jeff Murko's designs here are merely only
concept of what the ISSACP looks like, and as of
right now will not be in our mod without his
permission.
