In your past mod I didn't notice a difference between the SS and normal units, were there any or was it only cosmetic?

actually, in terms of raw stats, there's even less difference between SS and Werhmacht tanks now. they will have nearly identical health and defense values (this is in contrast to my earlier work where I consciously gave SS units a boost in health, morale, and attack).

the main difference will be that SS tanks will have additional machine gun attacks. (much better vs infantry than before)

the other difference will be that their attack values are based on the penetration stats for the Panzergranate 39/40/43 ammunition instead of the standard armor-piercing rounds.

once the open beta test gets released we'll see if we need to make some changes.

Only problem I can see in this is: if they're so OP, even with the reduced health and morale, could you offset them with increased cost? If you didn't, you'd be able to mass produce these if you just eco-whored for a while, about 10 minutes, and then nothing would be able to counter them aside from maybe arty in a choke-point.
Just an insight, I don't see everything you do. You've got access to all the stats almost side-by-side.

I'm changing the Waffen SS and Russian Guards divisions in several ways. players will have to conduct research before being able to recruit elite divisions. players will also have to recruit regular mechanized and armored forces first. .

it's much more difficult to eco-***** now that the AI is more aggressive.

a new factor is that we've added destroyers, cruisers, and have improved the battleships.

destroyers generally have a range of 100, cruisers have a range of about 250, and battleships have 300-420. providing ground forces with a solid navy can really help out. the big problem, of course, is that the AI doesn't like to use naval units. but players can use them to counteract enemy eco-whoring. it's harder to eco-***** when people can bombard your base from the other side of the map.

we've made a lot of changes-- and I fully expect that wwe shall have to make a few more once people start playing the mod.

You said 'from the Aviation division players will be able to recruit a wide variety of aircraft.'

So the Aviation divisions are airports!?

the Aviation Division is another division tent just like the Armor or Infantry HQ. the main difference is that it recruits airfield trucks instead of regiments. the variety is gained from having access to multiple types of airfield trucks. there was no space for all of the different types of aircraft at the Corps HQ. this work-around was the only way to work them all into the game.

for example, the United States will be able to deploy P-40s, P47s, P-51s, Wildcats, Corsairs, P80s, A-20s, B-25s, B-17s, and two variants of the B-29 (one with atomic bombs) that much variety couldn't be accomplished without a new division tent. so, again, players recruit the airfield truck that has the airplanes they need for the game. once the airfields are set up, you can then use multiple types of aircraft for gameplay. the aircraft all have relative historical states. the P-51 is faster than the P-47 and slower than the Me-262. the P-47 has higher health and defense values than the Mitsubishi Zero.

Description

Germany has enough new types of regiments that we've broken them down into multiple divisions. all of the artillery halftracks and tanks will be recruited from the Artillery division. mixed infantry/tanks/halftrack regiments will be recruited from the Panzergrenadier division. from the Aviation division players will be able to recruit a wide variety of aircraft. the Industrial division allows players to recruit all of the tech buildings and depots while freeing up space for the Corps HQ to recruit new divisions. it's important to remember that before you can recruit any sort of specialized regiment for the five major nations you'll have to recruit an Industrial division first. otherwise you'll be left to work with only the basic units and regiments.
