Links to the steam workshop download and our discord can be found in the description! Awakening of the Rebellion is a total overhaul of Forces of Corruption. Inspired by the old RTS Star Wars: Rebellion, AotR brings many features from this game and other titles such as a more in-depth mission system, tech system, and many new units! Immerse yourself in the Galactic Civil War era as the fledgling Rebellion, the oppressive Empire, or the criminal Black Sun pirates. This mod is not for the feint of heart and will test your RTS skills with a completely overhauled AI and difficulty. Versions newer than 2.6 can be found on the steam workshop only (due to issues with the non-steam versions)

Yep, all infantry now shoot while running. We will be demoing this once all the infantry things are done.

Damn, if you do that how can I add infantry from other mods (And free releases) that have no hardpoints and can't run and shoot at the same time :(?

Are you also going to do that for local citizens?

ALL infantry. Actually you require no special hardpoints. All of this is done with the default MuzzleA_00 bone.

Really? I have no idea what that means and how that will work with infantry models, though xD

Nice! 2 questions.
1. Will the rebel and imperial infantry still be cannon fodder at level 1? Cause I'd suggest making the damages equal to all infantry, but not increase the health pool in each upgrade.
2. Will you modify the guns to miss a lot of their shots? Cause one thing that kinda bothered me about the vanilla game was the fact that every single shot hit their mark

Yes infantry will actually have working inaccuracy now. In fact, with each tier of infantry their accuracy and range get better along with health and firerate. Also, damage no longer increases with each level, but only if their weapon is better. This along with the rate of fire make higher level infantry pretty scary.

I guess this is based on the_Farseer's work, which is amazing, because I hoped his animations would find its way into AotR :)

He made a short showcase a while ago, which you can check out here: Moddb.com

Also great work with the equiptment. Nice to see that you gave them A280 Blaster rifles (they looked weird in vanilla).

Cheers

Actually it is not based on his work, it is our own solution to the problem. Infantry still are infantry and not vehicles with turrets. Its basically a hardpoint system tied to the weapon. Animations are still triggered by using dummy projectiles.

Glad to hear you like the changes!

It's great nontheless. Perhaps we should just delete my comment then? Might confuse people.
