Our New MC80b.

Lol I opened up moddb 28s after you uploaded, awesome new model SteinerSMG & team!
Thank you :)
So will it have a fighter compliment this time or will it still be fighterless?
We want to add one A-Wing Squadron, but not more. its not a carrier :)
I think it would be more rebel like if it the squad was X wings instead and maybe add the phoneix home class for a dedicated A wing carrier (1-3) squads?/Light combat vessel
i like that its fighterless rn, it gives you a reason to have starfighter shipyards
I like that it has fighters in other mods. Gives you more of a reason to build it.
If it doesn't have fighters then it gives you more reason to build other things. :p
I don't know, there's still plenty of reason to build other things along side these in Thrawn's Revenge.
I think it should only hold 1 or 2 squadrons.
I think at least in the Legends-canon 3 Squadrons was the maximum it could carry.
Most Liberty-classes carried 1 X-Wing, 1 A-Wing and 1 Y- or B-Wing Squadron depending on what was available.
We talked yesterday about that... It will become one Squadron... but not too much. :)

Mmm... I like it when its colored.
What role is it going to have in the rebels roster? Is it going to be a replacement for your old liberty,a 6-popcap guns-only battleship,or is it going to be a replacement for a 7-popcap mc80b?
Well... from this Point now it will replace the actual Liberty. Which role it becomes...that depends on the Future Updates/Balancing :)
Will it be able to take on a Star Destroyer?
not unless the player is a Thrawn-level tactical genius. the Liberty would have to use the shield ability all the time, and have taken out the ISD's shields first engagement. otherwise, the superior firepower will chew the liberty up. and that doesn't even take fighters into account.
Independence class? no problem. Liberty? its a long, hard, slog
This is the toughest buildable rebel capital ship save for mc80b(which has a slightly different role) in the aotr 2.6 beta, and is more than a match against an isd1. If you will always stay at the broadside or rear of the isd and keep your sheilds up by using the ability, you will quickly bring its inferior sheilds down and start taking out its hardpoints, which will negate firepower superiority of the isd. So its pretty simple, without any thrawn-level tactics
Then you will die braver than most.
Seriously, am I the only one scared by the amount of Tie Bombers an ISD has? Besides, getting in the rear of an ISD is harder than you say it is.
Oh, and you have to destroy both shield domes now so...
By the way,is it going to have the assault gunboats in the new 2.7? These things were pretty damn scary if the ai bothered with deploying them.
*About to be destroyed by the ISD* "Perhaps I was wrong."
And if i was facing an ISD as a capitain of liberty in a "real" situation,i would overload my frontal sheilds and ram the hell out of its control tower, thus taking out its bridge, cic, primary sensor array, comms array and sheild generators in a single run, then dive under it and pummel its unprotcted reactor core and hangars until the ship melts down.

Ezra: MC80 Captain
Vader: ISD Captain
Huh. I always figured the Liberty Class would at least be able to deal some serious damage to an ISD
