Links to the steam workshop download and our discord can be found in the description! Awakening of the Rebellion is a total overhaul of Forces of Corruption. Inspired by the old RTS Star Wars: Rebellion, AotR brings many features from this game and other titles such as a more in-depth mission system, tech system, and many new units! Immerse yourself in the Galactic Civil War era as the fledgling Rebellion, the oppressive Empire, or the criminal Black Sun pirates. This mod is not for the feint of heart and will test your RTS skills with a completely overhauled AI and difficulty. Versions newer than 2.6 can be found on the steam workshop only (due to issues with the non-steam versions)

Since Everything EAW seems to be dead (which seemed to be a hub for modding activity in its hay-day) I'll try to post a list of some notable mods and their status and attempt to keep it reasonably up to date. Criteria I'm setting is that the mod has to be a total conversion, have plenty of and some recent (at least a couple of months ago at most) development screenshots, an active developer replying to comments within the past few months, a recent post somewhere giving the status of the mod, and accessibility (easy to understand descriptions, descent troubleshooting, a playable mod that doesn't suffer from constant crashes or extreme slowdown). I for one am very glad this list was made as I have been looking into getting back into this game. The last time I played was with a z3rox mod that had came out a year before i downloaded it. I actually just bought a new retail copy of this game on Amazon because out of all the strategy games I have played, this one has kept my interest more than any other. Maybe I'm just nostalgic for some star wars, idk. Could this list also inform us on whether the mods will contain added plot or story missions when playing a Campaign? I know awakening of the Rebellion does, but I don't know of any others that do. |
