ATOM RAIN is a gameplay mod, inspired by many other mods, made for super-fast and super-lethal deathmatch, and singleplayer slaughter and compatibility with lzdoom, gzdoom and zandronum in mind.
ATOM RAIN is set in a nonsensical alternative vision of the 90s, where there is a secret interdimensional nuclear war between many corporations.
ATOM RAIN’s arsenal is deadly and simple, with that over-the-top touch when it comes to explosives. It’s unbalanced, reminiscing of old skulltag era mods and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer (launch day times where Akimbo 1887s were so op).
ATOM RAIN also has a very ugly and simple „special death animation” system for multiplayer mode, that focuses on more over-the-top stuff and performance than details.
ATOM RAIN is very ideal to play with friends, it’s made for both casual and friendly-competitive, also single and cooperative play.

After doing a "silent release" of ATOM RAIN, receiving feedback by many people, and just being happy about people liking my mod. let me tell more about this project.
I did this mod in 15 days, testing it with bots, and few playtesters, due to getting insanely productive and motivated by a strange dream about martial artists who use game dev skills as martial arts.
I also did this mod because there was a slowdown when it comes to multiplayer mods for zandronum, and i wanted to make a "last resort" gameplay mod.
There was a lot of inspirations for this mod, my main inspirations were Madness Combat, Duke Nukem 3D, Unreal Tournament and many mods for Half-Life, like The Specialists and Counter-Strike.
I have plans for four content updates in this year, with different themes, and obviously and absolutely - no catches.
This is my passion project, i created this mod in 15 days and sleepless nights.
I hope you enjoy this mod with no to small issues.

Well, sorry for lack of activity, but ATOM RAIN 1.3 is coming soon.
it's gonna fix some issues that were gained from playtesting and feedback,
and i gave the arsenal needed changes and a new coat of paint.
i'm also afraid that this update might divide some people.
and sadly, the seasonal content update plan is scrapped. i want ATOM RAIN to be a solid, not bloated experience for now.
A bug with this mod: The guns only deal 1 damage each. yes that includes the atom bomb launcher. pls fix

for actual easy skill mode, pick "Just a average job" or "I can manage it".
