Indeed, what about focusing on main races before ?
I very love all your work, and excuse me if I seem a bit rude, but I think it'd be better to finish some of the most important races (Necrons are important though, but not as much as SM and Chaos for example).

Anyway it's great work and good stuff ;p

IG, spess marhenes and eldar are also being worked on. Probably with the same enthusiasm as the necrons in this vid. Space marines are very difficult to make work in the arma engine but they are working on it.

As "[TFDN]derptrooper" Stated, The SM's are being looked at and MARS has a good Grasp on the concept.
I am sure when they are finely shown, Every One will be Pleased.

The Difficult this is, to Make more then 5 Custom Animations for a 7 to 8 foot model, as by default, "IG , Eldar, Necrons" for the most part are 5'8" to 6' tall and that's the scale of Default ArmA man units, these models can use said default Animation as long as the model is using default class names and stance.

Yes I have much to do with the Current "IG" and "Traitor IG",
I assure you this is being worked on.

I know this takes a lot of time and that this is very difficult, (as I mod for myself, ican understand you ;p ). I'm sure you will get this done, but sometime we are a bit worried ;p

Well, all of my shown work on this mod so far does not involve space marines, but rather xenos, and maybe a little IoM stuff here and there.
That being said, we are planning out the space marines, and I would say with learning how to do custom anims as I have done here, we are a good lot closer to space marines than we were a couple weeks ago. Learning how to do custom animations is a MAJOR step and success for those who want factions with custom anims. (tyranids, necrons, space marines, chaos daemons, Orks, etc.)
I would say the biggest problem is: We need people to make models and animations for these factions. Already doing the Eldar and Necrons, another large faction and I would have my hands full. While I could do those too, I am not paid to do this stuff 8 hours per day, and I have other things I like to do as well as modding.
And don't get me wrong guys, it's not that I don't see the SM as important, I love them as much as the next imperial lapdog. I just want to make sure the xenos are going to get a good representation in this mod, which is a very rare thing in 40k media.
The last thing I want is all of the exotic races of 40k ending up as differently colored targets for bolters. :)

Good point. I think most of the work outside of rts games has a marine slant. I think it's important to have some emphasis on the other factions too. It can only help with immersion. Otherwise they'll just seem like an afterthought.

If I hurry up and get my CW40K stuff done, they can be ported in as placeholders for a marine faction. :)

Oh my, I imagine walking around in a 2.5 meter tall suit of power armor, taking shet loads of damage like nothing, and firing .75 cal. HE rounds. Glorious

The noise that those SPG's make when firing (that electrical hiss noise when they're outbound) sounds like it would be a perfect noise for the Necron's Gauss weapons. When the video first started and those SPG's started firing off I thought it was actually the Necrons shooting. Just a thought.

Edit: Also, super awesome video. Thanks for keeping us updated. I can't wait until this is released and I'm so happy that you're sticking to the fluff. If only GW could manage to do the same...

As for the gauss weapon sounds, I think you have a good idea. Of course, I may have to tone it down a bit, but I want to have it make a big crack and hiss.

As for sticking to the fluff, while we try to be as accurate as is possible, there are some things which just have to be toned down or removed, because they just don't work in Arma.

Don't get me started on GW sticking to the fluff, I could rant about that for days. Come to think of it, I could rant about ANYTHING for days.

Here are the Necrons I made, attacking some militia. The Necrons are not the point of view in this video, instead, I am showing the point of view from the militia, so you can see what the Necrons are like when they attack you. I will upload this battle, playing as the Necrons, in another video, soon. Feedback is appreciated
