This beautiful Mansion in Whitechapel had been dragging you ever since you were a small child. After your father died two years ago, he gave you his factory, a successful business that had been running for years.
Recently you heard that Chateau LeFay was on sale, Your instinct lead you to buying the mansion.
Your dream had come true.
But everything changed on the first night. You were woken up by strange sounds emanating from the walls. This is where your journey begins. You will discover many things during your stay, Wonderful and Horrifying Alike.

Hello everyone.I just wanted to let you know that thanks to the Amnesia The Dark Descent Workshop finally being released onto Steam after 3 centuries, I've gotten back into modding and decided that it's time to finally do a proper Definitive Edition of a few mods.
This will include:

ORIGINAL REMASTERED VERSION
The original remasters were more of a revenge, where I made some minor changes to the maps, but mostly just re-wrote the journals without really thinking about them.
It must have been clear to you that the remastered versions were not made out of love for modding, but out of hatred for someone.
NEW REMASTERED VERSION
What ca you look forward to, and what can you expect to see?
- Modifying maps to sometimes new shapes.
- New events and changes to existing events in the map
- New music and modification of almost all sounds
- New or strongly changed storyline to fit together.
- Connecting the parts of the saga with Kurt Baxter's side character (main character in Madhouse 3)
- New voice acting, including the diaries
- All in all a true remastered game.

This mod is not playing correctly for me. After I read the broken gas pipe notice and press the first button, nothing happens when I enter the next room. No gas appears and the ladder cannot be placed where it needs to be. I stacked some crates to press the second button but then the key I found does not open the padlock that it should. I had to quit playing this mod at this point. This mod seems very buggy.
Is “run Samuel, run” the end of the mod?
It sure is for me. I just die. Every time.

Lol. I tried everything. I finally resorted to smolnesia.
(That’s an obscure add on that makes you smaller and
10x faster). I don’t know if it helped, but, it made me run
thru a wall and die. The mod generously reopened after
the part I couldn’t get thru. Lol I dunno why, but, I
couldn’t get thru this part no way.
So, I tried it again. My non steam version will not
let me past this. No matter where, how or how fast
I run, jump or anything else, including with smolnesia
That makes you run at light speed. It’s a game flaw.

You can easily add speed in the save files. Just edit the value of the runspeedmul in the save file, which you have to open with notepad. You can find your save files in your documents directory.
