K8 Saves The Ocean!

Amnesia Classic (or Amnesia: Rebirth – Classic Edition) is a mod for Amnesia: Rebirth that aims to drastically increase the difficulty of the main game via the introduction of new and unused mechanics, many of which are found in previous FG titles.
Amnesia Classic is an evolution of the Quiet Protagonist mod that substantially overhauls the retail version of the game in order to deliver a new, more punishing experience. This includes substantial edits and additions to the gameplay and narrative that significantly change the way the game is played, emphasizing stealth and caution in the vein of survival horror titles such as Penumbra or Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
WARNING: This mod contains instances of flashing images, lights, and/or colors which may negatively affect those with photosensitivity and/or epilepsy.
Without hope, there is no fear.
The mod features new mechanics and gameplay, as well as expanded options for game start up (under the options menu). Many aspects of the game are now more difficult and new items, such as health items, are crucial to your survival. Notable features include:
- An all new health and death system, in line with older FG titles. Fear is no longer your primary concern, though is an ever persistent threat...
- Dangerous and attentive enemies. Your environment is hostile and monsters can kill.
- A partially revamped story with alternate texts, dialogue, and lore. Includes and improves upon changes made by Quiet Protagonist, with Tasi's dialogue being more sparse than the base game.
- New and adjusted gameplay.
- And much more!
NOTICE: This mod is incompatible with Adventure Mode. You will not be able to select Adventure Mode from this mod's menu, as they would inherently conflict.
This is not a "hard mode" mod, nor is it in any way a remake of the original game. At its core the experience is still Amnesia: Rebirth, though there has been considerable effort to alter the experience into something that appeals to those who found it hard to enjoy the base game, or at the very least are seeking an extra challenge. Many of the changes made are entirely subjective and exist to compliment the desolate and threatening atmosphere of the world and gameplay.
Q: I already played Quiet Protagonist. Is this the same thing?
A: No. Amnesia Classic is a more extensive overhaul of Amnesia: Rebirth than Quiet Protagonist, though is based upon Quiet Protagonist and includes many of its changes (Tasi is more quiet during gameplay and several conversations have been edited for pacing and context).
Q: Can you make Tasi talk more/can you add support for adventure mode?
A: Unlikely. Doing so would be a considerable amount of effort on our part as we would have to rework the implementation of adventure mode and/or create separate versions of the mod to accommodate different configurations. You can, however, use this mod as a base for other, similar mods.
Q: My game is acting weird or x is broken. Is this because of the mod?
A: Not necessarily. If you encounter any weird issues or bugs that you haven't seen before, try restarting the game or reloading a prior save. If the issue persists, please let us know and we will look into it.
Q: Can I use custom scripts/assets from this mod in my own mods?
A: Yes! Many of our scripting changes are completely mod friendly and can be used outside of the base game, though some are specific to the game itself (maps, etc.).
Q: When is this mod going to be released?
A: Eventually. Right now development on the project is considerably stalled due to a lack of available resources and developmental support, as well as a focus on other projects. More details to come soon.

how do i download
nevermind, thank you for what you're doing
This might be the only mod for Amnesia: Rebirth that will make me revisit Rebirth again. I wish you the best in finishing this mod.
Any information about progress? and by death you mean after you will be killed then the game will load last autosave?
I liked the base game but I´m intrigued, especially about the increase of Difficulty
so as I understood Tasi will still be quiet during this mod? Or does it just build on the Quiet Protagonist mod
I am curious as to how you will implement said unused mechanics
This is like the Snyder Cut, but for Amnesia Rebirth!
Any progress? I can't wait! ^^
I can't wait. Especialy the Death and Autosave :) Can we use it for our mods to ? I mean if someone does not use it in base game :)
