Alpha Project is a Battlefield 2 modification which goals are to bring back all the features that were left out in the retail game. The gameplay style of the mod is a mixture of arcade and realism.

Well since you've never played this game before, that was the purpose of this new map that JONES made. It's called Pripyat and was actually based off of COD4.

We need more detailed maps like this! Also we need to get rid of that fog some of the levels have, that fog feels so 1999... This game would look better than BF3 without fog :)
Sorry but we cant remove the fog completley, well we could but lowend systems would have a extreme impact on fps then, of corse you and me wouldnt, i guess my pc could handle whatever map settings i throw at it with unlimited viewdistance and objects but we need to take other guys in account aswell and thats why fog need to stay...
I understand, maybe small 16 player maps could have less fog because of the smaller size...
Actually, this mod's maps already have a lot less fog than BF2 or other mods, that is one of the many reasons why I love this mod :)
hah actualy it doesnt realy matter how the combatarea is on a map the impact is still big even when you play 16p without any fog on a big map with shrinked combatarea for example.
But basicly i use afterall viewdistances and fogranges around 500 meters and more, you barrely notice the fog like that :)
Yeah, Actually in AP I can only notice the fog in Air vehicles when very high, but as infantry I never even noticed the fog =) YAY! Awesome work! One of the reasons this mod is the best!
