I been waiting longer then waiting for Season 8 of Game of thrones to be released. I'm sad it has less episodes this time around.

I'm sad everyone's hating on it. Every big show seems to have some controversy surrounding it's end. Sad to see it going down in flames but every episode is gripping for me!

I feel Season 8 would have benefitted from having more episodes, tbh. The story is moving along at an...inconstistent pace. Honestly if they had more time to flesh out the story and weren't in such a rush to wrap things up I think it would be more satisfying.

But that's just my two cents.

Description

USS Ares and IKS Gr'oth met each other in battle.

The Federation, having gained the technological advantage with the launch of their Ares-class cruisers nearly a year prior, had regained a substantial portion of their lost territory. With Project Constitution facing significant delays, however, the danger that the Klingon Empire would once again sieze the advantage was very real. When the Imperial Fleet's first three D-7 battlecruisers launched in late 2244, it was clear that a dangerous shift in the balance of power was afoot.

The IKS Gr'oth was commanded by Captain Karga, a widely respected officer who hitherto had led his forces to many victories in the war. After routing the Starfleet forces in the Tellun system led by the USS Amphictyon, Karga's next objective was to secure and hold the Yridia system until reinforcements arrived. Judging by its performance in combat thus far, the Gr'oth was certainly up to the task.

Enroute to Yridia, the Gr'oth was intercepted by none other than the USS Ares herself. On a seek and destroy mission to track down the warship that had driven Starfleet from the Tellun system, the Ares, as the first of her class, had gained a reputation as the ship that had turned the tide in the struggle against the Klingons. Since her launch barely a year ago, the Ares had been in many skirmishes, and won them all. Though its captain, Alexei Petrikov, had never won the widespread fame of Garth of Izar, the Ares herself had become a symbol of the Federation's determination to triumph over tyranny and aggression.

It was almost fateful that the Federation and the Empire's champions should meet. Detecting her foe on sensors, the Gr'oth dropped out of warp and waited for the Ares to approach.
