Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
Remus, Romulus' closest neighbouring planet and homeworld of the Remans.
The fleet of Vulcan exiles who would become the Romulans initially passed over the barren world of Remus in favour of the verdant, temperate planet they would come to know as Romulus. As the Romulans flourished on their new homeworld, their eyes eventually turned to realising the great destiny that had driven them on during a century of wandering the stars. It was time to forge their Empire. Being close enough to Romulus so that at certain times of year it could be clearly seen with the naked eye, Remus was the Romulans' first target.
Remus is a scorched, dark rock of a world. Tidally locked so that one hemisphere always faces the sun, the day side of Remus is unyieldingly, unbearably hot. The Remans evolved on the planet's night side, which, to be honest, is not much more hospitable. Subsisting on natural fungi and small, scavenging wildlife, the Remans developed excellent night vision and predatory instincts in order to survive and thrive in the darkness of their world. The harsh environment led to a savage and brutal way of life - in all their existence, the Remans have never known a time of peace and plenty.
Little is known of Reman culture before their subjugation, but when the Romulans arrived on Remus they found the Remans locked in a perpetual struggle for survival, both against the environment of their world, and against each other. Reman society was made up of primitive clans that battled ceaselessly against each other, securing territory and resources through bloody, barbaric tribal warfare. Divided and armed with only crude weapons, the Remans were easily conquered - the first subjects of the Romulan Star Empire.

The Remens and Remus sounds like they share a lot of similarities with the twi'leks and Ryloth, with the tidally locked world and being enslaved
