Age of Darkness is a mod set in the historical period spanning the two world wars of the 20th century, revolving around the struggle between the forces of liberty, socialism and reaction.
In Age of Darkness, France is depicted as being a good rush civ with a food bonus, free armoured cars spawned from newly built armouries and with a stronger resistance to attrition. French units, with tanks in particular, are pretty standard fare (with most other factions, especially the lesser powers and minor nations using French materiel), and are especially powerful because they (with the exception of the ahistorical ARL 44) only require Mass Manufacturing to be unlocked (other tank-type units must have Blitzkrieg doctrine to be unlocked).
The Romanians also get the Renault R35, as well as the VdC. R35/45, which is actually a Renault R35 with a more powerful gun. Unlike early R35s, Romanian-built VdC. R35/45s all come in a feldgrau version (not ready yet).
