THE REASON when the police go to the house of david is why david are addict of painkillers and he got allucinations. he thinks the people are monsters and david kill people. i think thats the reason
That is what i think as well, on mother ending, David defeat his own lust of killing from the pain killer and fainted.

Wow that must be some over the top f**ked up drug what where those pills? He took 20 microdots at once or something? And went totally insane trapped in his own mind of extreme anxiety stress and paranoia...The ending should be like the ending of the movie requiem for a dream then (the dudes mom)
