While AWAAP development is still paused, hope is at hands: "Bandits, coming in at eight o'clock high...break, break, break,........Gold Wing take those fighters, Natley and McArthur with me, we're going after the bombers....I'm going in on the leader.........got him! his starboard engine's burning up.....follow my lead men, tally ho!" ".......Damn it Gold Wing keep those fighters off us, I'm being torn to pieces......primary fuel lines been hit.....Jesus, keep them off me you bastards....those last two bombers aren't going to shoot themselves down....good God they've got the Bristol, her tanks have blown, she's going down!" A Wing And A Prayer is a total conversion for the Homeworld 2 engine, moving the action from space combat to early twentieth century aerial battles between a variety of fictional aircraft and airships, ranging from scout fighters up to ironclad super Zeppelins. Drawing on the style of games like "Crimson...

I'd rather avoid taking anything too directly from another franchise, whilst some of the designs come pretty close to those of Crimson skies I've tried to avoid making them blatant rip offs.
Also my big problem with Crimson skies is the lack of believability in alot of their designs, I feel AWAAP's aircraft ought to look like they can fly (just).
Thanks for the feedback though!

Nice. Just a question, could you include some fighters from Crimson Skies? Y'know, some of the cool ones like the Devastators or Bloodhawks.

Description

Fighter ‘Barbarian’ – The basic pirate
fighter, the Barbarian is a sub standard fighter
craft left over from the First World War. Equipped
with only two machine guns and limited armour it
is hardly a match for the fighters fielded by
modern air forces. Its strengths lie in its
relatively high speed and cheap price, which
allows Pirate captains to swarm the enemy with
large numbers of Barbarians, safe in the knowledge
that for everyone that is shot down ten more will
take its place. While it can be improved with
upgrades the Barbarian will always remain prime
fodder for fighters and flak.

Heavy Fighter T.a ‘Corsair’ – A heavy
fighter produced and exported by the second rate
weapons company Texas Armouries, the Corsair is a
marked improvement over the Barbarian but still
has little chance of competing with British or
German heavy fighter craft. Again its only real
strength lies in its low price, and the mass of
disillusioned or naïve young men ready to side
with the pilots and take the air in these flying
coffins.
