While AWAAP development is still paused, hope is at hands: "Bandits, coming in at eight o'clock high...break, break, break,........Gold Wing take those fighters, Natley and McArthur with me, we're going after the bombers....I'm going in on the leader.........got him! his starboard engine's burning up.....follow my lead men, tally ho!" ".......Damn it Gold Wing keep those fighters off us, I'm being torn to pieces......primary fuel lines been hit.....Jesus, keep them off me you bastards....those last two bombers aren't going to shoot themselves down....good God they've got the Bristol, her tanks have blown, she's going down!" A Wing And A Prayer is a total conversion for the Homeworld 2 engine, moving the action from space combat to early twentieth century aerial battles between a variety of fictional aircraft and airships, ranging from scout fighters up to ironclad super Zeppelins. Drawing on the style of games like "Crimson...

Description

Boarding Craft ‘Brigand’ – lack of heavy
warships is a serious weakness for the pirates,
one they remedy in part by boarding and capturing
enemy ships. This task is performed by the
Brigand, which latches on to enemy airships by
means of the four heavy hooks at its front, cuts
through the enemy hull and then unleashes its
cargo which comprises of a band of bloodthirsty
pirates armed to the teeth. During the capturing
procedure Brigands can be destroyed by hostile
fire, which will end the boarding attempt and they
tend to be quite vulnerable to heavy fire on the
way to the target ship.

Glide bomber ‘Bandit’ - Filling a strange
role, half heavy bomber and half long range
artillery, the Bandit is an undeniably effective
airship killer. The plane consists of a piloted
aircraft, and a small glider section attached to
the front. Once within range of the target airship
the pilot releases the glider and returns the
base, leaving it to glide on in to its target,
whereupon it detonates with massive force.
Unfortunately the low speed of the glider makes it
possible to intercept, while the equally
unimpressive speed of the Bandit aircraft itself
makes it prone to enemy fighter attacks on the way
to its target. Against an unprepared enemy
however, this aircraft is unbeatable.
