This structure acts like a mini command center, hence it being an outpost. Yet, due to it not being a full blown HQ, it lacks the abilities command centers have. Yet, it is small enough to spawn a small garrison of droid to defend it.
The outpost will also be present on skirmish maps, where it can be used as an effective means of scouting battlefields and gaining quick control of the map.
