Allright, I took notice of the "complaints". I agree the skin wasn't up to shape, so I edit it plus it's phong.
I do however am not going into a dispute that if this looks like a kar98 or not.
I've seen different versions of it in refference images, and the wood color tone varies and so does the iron sight. If anyone doesn't think it is a kar then so be it. I thought it'd be a cool addition to the game having one out of place weapon in there. We're not trying to be 100% acurate, but I know we're not far from it.
Now this is the updated version, the model is perfectly fine.
I'm sure i'll get a barage of complaints on this one aswell, so be it.

I laughed allot at the people who think that ALL Kar98's are the same, despite us having 15 different reference images all with differences and all from different games etc.

ahh it wasn't that bad, I could understand the ones about the skin. I felt a bit stupid after I posted it up, it was late and I was excited about the weapon, should've taken more time before posting.

Actually it was used as standard infrantry rifle and as a sniper rifle during ww2.. But its a completly new weapon ;), no wep replacement.
You will probably see a new update of this since it didn't really looked how I wanted.. By that I mean I wanted it to be longer up on the screen so you could see the back of the bolt.. The model is very accurate and isn't boxy at all.

Modelling hands is one of the toughest things to get right, especially when starting from scratch. Yeah, this one does look better cause Joure tweaked the skin a bit.

No sure what you are trying to prove here, I didn't make this model to challenge a game model by valve :P. Joure said that he can't reveal why its here, you'll have to find out by yourself when the mod is out.

I'd say it's a pretty much finished weapon, just need to tweak the ironsights and add in more sounds. I added the firing sound already just needs to add the reload ones etc.

Fair enough, As I said I can't please everyone due to people have different prefferations to what a certain weapon should supposed to look like.
Any body who even thinks of putting a Kar98 into a mod automatically gets my vote. I also love the MP5. You have good choice in weapons my friends!
