The movie They Live was correct all along. Foreign entities control us. They limit what we think is possible, so that we do not see their moves.
Have you seen Zizek reply to that movie? It is centered on the concept of Destutt de Tracy Ideology (of course this is an important component in Marx - Alienation under Capitalism; or in Saint Just - «we must force people to be free»).
