That’s all there is and there’s not even single use repair kits available from vendors. In addition a number of specialized repair kits aren’t available at all (AFAIK) for some reason. It’s relatively simple to change all that by editing items_repair.ltx if you care to get familiar with modding. It’s a bit odd design decision if you ask me and one of the things I quickly changed for myself.

It’s a small detail but kinda bugs me too. I get around it by getting the best looking M4 variant in the game (IMHO) that doesn’t have this issue: HK416. Which I reckon is only sold by Mercs and isn’t available in loot.

Well, that's no ordinary cat! That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered feline you ever set eyes on!

In 1.3+patch2 starting gear is randomized to a degree. Files in question are

gamedata\configs\plugins\faction_loadouts.ltx
gamedata\scripts\ui_mm_faction_select.script

You'll need to extract individual files from .db files. Instructions are available in mod description. Looks like you can simply add desired starting items into the first file in question. You'll need to hunt down proper item names from other files though. For example monolith_scientific_outfit is for, well, just that.

Alternatively you could search for monolith starting outfit in outfit_novice.ltx and increase its radiation_protection to survive radiation in Monolith territories even with starting gear. Keep in mind changes prolly only apply to new outfits, not ones already in inventory.

Northern areas, mostly in control of Monolith, are quite irradiated. You can start as Monolith sure but I don't think it really works in practise (never tried). It's a bit silly sure but it's a massive mod and not nearly every aspect of it is really thought through or properly balanced. You could change starting gear so you have an outfit that can manage radiation or start with massive amounts of antirads and cures. Once you progress into combat helmets, heavy armors and exoskeletons you're mostly safe from radiation.

Thank you so much for working with this game. Love sniper/stealth gameplay in FPS/RPGs but there really aren't -that- many rich experiences to be had there in single player. Despite its... issues I've enjoyed SGW series and finally picked up the latest creation. With recent patches and your mod I've had very few issues tho' still a bit "rough around the edges". Only two despawn/respawn probs in one and a half playthrough ain't too bad!

There really is a lot of potential in the game and a lot of fun to be had for the fans of virtual sniping. It's just too bad they've botched the launch of most of their titles since after all the patching and extra content SGW 2 and 3 really turned out OK. Hope you keep working on the project as it seems CI is patching the game quite frequently!

This actually makes sense considering the whole Zone is obviously connected by pretty advanced PDA network so why couldn’t they just ”wire” you the money? It’s not like they ask for much evidence when returning quests anyway. Except for when you need to obtain items... then it’s a bit funny, but hey, maybe you sent them on a courier! Also, as mentioned with quest givers dying (especially with messed up spawns) it’s often not worth picking up quests, to avoid negative rep. This sure helps. Not yet sure if I’ll pick this one but it’s great to have the option!

I've had this issue since Call of Misery though at least in LD 1.1 and 1.2 it ONLY appears to happen in Jupiter (that area is bugged in more ways than one too!). I just deactivate emissions/psi-storms before moving to Jupiter. I can sometimes fix it by making a save during an emission, quitting the game and reloading that save, but not reliably.

Many thanks for all your work in this. Phenomenal speed of updates. Looks like it's now ready enough to jump in. Loved CoM and looking forward to experience Last Day revision of it!
