I know dezowave for long. And every modder knows that if they didn't release the betas and sdk sources of old stalker they got for Lost Alpha from the creators of stalker, there wouldn't be such mods like the guy mentioned above. I'm not here to praise Lost Alpha, because it has many things I don't like, but at least it has unique levels, not simple copy-paste maps with bad quality, and the overal quality of this free project is still better than most paid indie or triple-a games we get these days.

It would be awesome, if you could update it for the upcoming 1.4005 too (not sure if it needs updating, or it will work)

You can fiddle around with shadowmap size (medium preferred), and medium sunshafts quality. Grass distance is fine for me on 100 meters, and 0.25 density, with the other settings I wrote above, and I have gtx1060 6gb vga.

They posted it many times that the expedition quest is unfinished in 1.4002. It was finished-fixed later on. It's a side task, why would anyone start new game for that? XD

Yes it was, especially in Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat (original, unmodded games) :) We requested the nights to be dark, there were even mods for SoC back in those days to make the nights dark enough. As for the flashlights: you need to buy better one to see more. As I know, there are 4 in game, you probably have the cheapest one, which is available in the beginning. Good luck, stalker!

As I know, the main goal was changed (needs clarification though) after GSC showed interest in the project back in those days. This was posted several times here, and in interviews back in 2012. Nothing can proove this better if you check the final design of the Lost Alpha levels, and the huge extra content added, which weren't even in the original series. Probably it had a good reason to not to make "yet another" remake.

I'm among the many, who don't ike this old thing. However you are lucky, because you can do this modification for yourself with the given console commands (hud_ sections in user.ltx) deza team left in for you.

I have a lot of blowouts and storms. You should not only follow the story, but sometimes go back to levels where you don't need to do anything. And don't forget to stay on the levels a bit, don't just run thru from levelchanger to levelchanger.

About names, I don't see anything wrong.

You can't upgrade, until you save Fox. He is the first character in game, who offers upgrading weapons! The second guy will be in Bar, and so on.

Hi, you died because you killed Sin in cordon, and did not fix your reputation in Bar. Probably missed the on screen messages too, maybe you have your hud disabled? :) That white niva in darkvalley is bugged, I heard it will be fixed in the next patch. Other cars are confirmed to be ok!
