Think of space as water, and your space ship acting as a ship. When you approach the planet, you will have to dock your ship at a spaceport and traverse the planet on foot. In order to gain access to the planet, the spaceport you wish to dock at must be neutral to or owned by your faction. The red line around the planet is an invisible wall, requiring you to go through the spaceport. This is to make taking over planets more strategic. You wouldn't expect to be able to just approach a hostile planet and land on the surface without any resistance. As for the planets themselves, the will be a lot like islands. Each planet will have a variety of different fiefs, and each will differ in terms of architecture, population, and trade goods. Hopefully that clarifies things.

We're going to attempt to have the armor transition from Phase I to Phase II within the mod, this includes your troops and the clone characters you meet.

We want to make your troops into squads, replacing the system where your troops are divided by type. Paired with our replacements for formations and an AI cover system, it will be more like modern combat and will fit the combat style of the mod.

The mod tools are supposed to have a feature where it will show the performance impact of the changes you make. So if the unique animations negatively impact performance to the point where it isn't justifiable, then we will probably just do some repeat animations.

Ideally, we want all of the weapons to have their own reload animations, some more unique than others. But, it really depends on how far we can push the game, and how much it will affect performance.

We're looking into space combat, but we're not 100% sure if it's possible. As for pilots, for now they've been replaced by ground vehicle drivers, like the BARC Trooper. It didn't make much sense for the pilots in previous mods to drive land vehicles rather than aerial or space-craft.

Of course, and Mandalorians will also have their own storyline associated with them, and it will have a lot of high quality content.

So we plan on having the first release in about a year. This date is not static, so it may change depending on how cooperative Bannerlord is toward the ideas we have. We will not be releasing it very soon after we get the mod tools because we want the players to at have something substantial to play when the first build of the mod comes out.

So we are planning to have ground vehicles, some of them are already made. But with space vehicles, we're not 100% sure we can do them yet. We would like to have space battles as well as ground battles, but it really depends on how far the mod tools will allow us to push the game. You will, however, be able to pilot ships on the game map, and they will affect both your troop capacity and navigation speed.
