The Separatist Crisis mod is a multiplayer, co-op and single player experience, which takes you to the tumultuous times of the Clone Wars and beyond.
Planet Example for how we intend to have our planets appear. Each planet will be approached via ship, once over a planet you will transition to walking just as if youve landed on the planet.
So will the map be like planets as land? With the sea between them as space? Or is it going to be like starwars conquest where the cities are planets an everything is water/space
Cause that would be sweet
So each town is a planet? I think this needs abit more explanation but I like where this is going c:
think each planet had a city maybe a small city of sorts
Think of space as water, and your space ship acting as a ship. When you approach the planet, you will have to dock your ship at a spaceport and traverse the planet on foot. In order to gain access to the planet, the spaceport you wish to dock at must be neutral to or owned by your faction. The red line around the planet is an invisible wall, requiring you to go through the spaceport. This is to make taking over planets more strategic. You wouldn't expect to be able to just approach a hostile planet and land on the surface without any resistance. As for the planets themselves, the will be a lot like islands. Each planet will have a variety of different fiefs, and each will differ in terms of architecture, population, and trade goods. Hopefully that clarifies things.
so you would have to take eash pne of those named places individually?
I'd assume so, yes.
I love the approach, and it does feel much more in keeping with the setting (and the Clone Wars cartoons) than just conquering a planet in a single battle.
How about Aurek/Besh/Cresh for the outposts though?
If there were ever a proper way to do it, I'd say this is it.
