Hi, I just redownloaded and extracted using 7z without a problem. My guess is that you did not adhere to the instructions... If you haven't already, you are supposed to rename the files and extract them together.

I see. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I don't think it's a hardware problem because I'm using a mid-range laptop and can run other battles smoothly except for the ones involving fortified passes (wooden castles in custom battles).

Yes, I did try lowering resolution and/or unit sizes to the point of having only 1 unit for each side, but it is still crashing when loading battles (only for fortified passes/wooden castles).

Nice work! I really enjoyed this mod; it's definitely a step above the rest! There is only one issue I encountered in v5.1: fortified passes (Wooden Castles). It appears to be crashing in both custom battles and campaigns. I'm not sure if this is only for my copy, as all files have been verified during installation and no errors were discovered, installed to mod folder and to C:\ too instead of Program Files
