Guest posts asking how to install or "game crash when try to load" will be deleted when I see them. Look through the comments, read installation instructions, search google, stop frickin' ghost posting "help me" before searching for answers. There are instructions online in forums and in this mod's comment section that will guide you. 9/10 users experience no issues besides random ctd due to bugs in the original games code so if you cant get anyrhing to work youve done something wrong. Take a deep breath, read the instructions, and try again. Thanks.

There may be in a future update though nothing planned at the moment. I welcome all suggestions so if you think of something that would/could work as a mission let me know and I will consider it.

Not sure about the random crashes during loading could be a video driver conflict. Add -show_err to your shortcut target field at the end and maybe it will present an error code.

Thanks for noticing the flags, I will look into this myself ASAP.

No reason India grows so fast. Could be due to campaign AI personality in the selection of settlement building preferences to choose growth upgrades. Kind of realistic as India does have one of the world's largest populations so for now I'll leave it.

Multiplayer is currently unsupported through this mod though if you manage to get it working properly then by all means have fun with it.

Thanks for the updates from the far east!

Sounds like a bad install or a problem with video settings.

Delete the folder for rome total war gold from the computer. Restart computer. Run steam and select rome total war and right click to properties. Verify integrity of files option. Once this is complete then download rtwe+ and run the install then run the mod through the shortcut.

The problem is with the video settings between windows 8/10 and the game. The preferences folder that comes with rtwe and rtwe+ contains a preferences.txt file that has working settings.

You will need to manually install the mod for non-steam version. Or buy the steam version which is pretty cheap. I suppose if people continue to struggle with this I may upload a mod foldered installation package.

What exactly are you wanting to accomplish?

Ok for non steam version you will need to manually install.

Run the mod installer exe but select a new folder not the location of your rome total war game.

Once that is complete go to the folder you created and find RTWE and copy this folder to your Rome total war game folder in your program files.

Now find RTW.exe in your game folder. You cant use the included RTW.exe included with the mod as it requires steam version.

Create a shortcut of your RTW.exe.

Right click the shortcut and go to the properties tab.

Find the "target" field.

At the end of the text in the target field add -mod:RTWE

Make sure to include a space before the -

Run the game using the shortcut.

Factions unlock by defeating them in campaign. You can also edit game files if you wish though this can cause errors if done incorrectly.

Yes you can, you have to point the installation to your gamefolder where it is installed. The game itself must be patched to 1.5 or later.

In the data folders look for victory conditions text file. Open it to edit. Find romans and change take_rome to take_regions 50. Delete the file map.rwm. Should fix the problem. I will patch this later as I plan to make better victory conditions for all factions in the next update.

This mod was not designed to work with any other modifications to the base game.

Just changed both of the download files with new easy installers. This will help all those people that have struggled with installing this mod. All you have to do now is download the mod, double click to run the .exe file, find the game folder location on your computer and the installer will do the rest including putting a shortcut on your desktop.

Oh and also fixed some more bugs in the building browsers and some other stuff. Thanks everybody!

Searched the Google and found that problem is related to conflicts between your directx files and the game, is not related to the mod. Solution appears to be downloading older versions of directx drivers for your machine.

Factions unlock after they've been defeated in campaign. Without any further modificications the only playable factions are the ones available in the original game plus Macedon. Version 2.1.3 condenses all roman factions into one super faction in exchange for the addition of India, Bactria, and the Arabs. I tried to stay as true to the original game format as much as possible. Hope this helps!

I believe I have found the reason for this error. A fix is posted if you'd like to try again. Unfortunately it's not save compatible so you would have to start a new campaign. Though this does give you a reason to jump back into Rome Total War Enhanced again! Please let me know if this helps and thank you for trying this mod.
