any chance you can make an option for this to replace the debug map?

The car weight problem is really an issue with the game's collision system,only that it's more noticeable on V8 Supercars due to lower speeds and worse traction(which is why even small taps will give a spin-out).From my observations hits to the rear-quarter part of the car will most of the times make you bounce off(which is why it's very effective when divebombing)but any touch to the rear bumper will immediately destabilise the car.I guess it's the way it is to prevent ramming the AI but not the other way around.
As for the Drift scores:I assume the game has problems correctly scaling the points for each round which is why you may sometimes encounter both opponents having the same score in a round or scoring lower than the round before.However I did not encounter the AI getting scores like 5,555,555 or 6,666,666.On which track did it happen?
I have not tested it,but I assume it should work fine like with the Steam and GOG versions
The Firebirds do indeed use the same livery since that's the only one that comes with the DLC(will make some new ones for this as well as other cars that only have one).As for the broken GTO textures...I forgot to rename the texture files to match the car's internal name (pgt).You can go into the game files and rename them yourself so it should no longer appear broken.
If you're also using the Community Graphics Overhaul mod you have to use the files for the F1000 car from the vanilla game,the one in the overhaul seem to be broken.Same might go for track files of Haruna if you're also getting crashes there
You should be able to throw it into the Ego File Converter to convert it to XML.Then if you want to convert it back throw it again into the converter and then change the extension from .xml to .bin
Thanks for the suggestions!
-I agree the demo derby event is a bit short considering it only appears once in the career,will add more laps and the Sportscar layout
-The F430 GTC and XKR GT3 being included in their own event and not the LMS events is purely a workaround due to the game crashing whenever I tried to get these cars working in the event,not including the Gallardo GT and DLC GT1s other than the 575 GTC was an oversight though
-I might adjust the global license treshold so that you have to get all the other licenses instead of reaching just 2 out of 3 expert licenses
-Races I think are in a good spot between being long enough but rewarding but could always tweak the amount of them or the laps they have
-AI was completely left untouched by me,might play around and see if I can make the drift events an actual challenge while keeping the balance in normal races intact
You should be able to continue with a save file from v2.02,but you'll be missing the newly added drivers.
I'll look into if the player liveries for 911 and V8 supercars can be fixed.
Thanks for the kind words.
As for the reduced lap count,that change will be reverted in v2.1(which should be up in a couple of days).
Try running the game with administrator rights and turning off anything that could interfere with the game's files
Hmm,not sure what could be causing those.On my end the game only crashed when exiting the sponsor menu(which is a common issue on modern PCs) or when using OBS.
Overall it seems like RD:Grid is really shaky stability-wise
Check if you've installed the DLC files properly cause it sounds like you're missing those.Also make sure your game version is 1.3(steam and gog releases are on that version by default)
First,you have to make sure your music files are in OGG format with 44100Hz sample rate.
Then you just add something like this in the config file:
music\level\ambientmusicpack\[nameofthefile] 6, 21
the 6 and 21 is the in-game hours between which the music will play
Also,you need to know under what section to put them in
[background_music_shared] = will play anywhere
[background_music_normal_day] = south zone,day
[background_music_normal_night] = south zone,night
[background_music_north_day] = north zone,day
[background_music_north_night] = north zone,night
[background_music_underground]=labs and agr.underground
It should work with RC18 and all future RC updates unless they change the structure of the config file itself.
Real nice addon pack.The only issue i found so far is that you can't travel to red forest from radar anymore(travel time simulation gets you killed because of radiation on the transition zone).
PS:don't know if you noticed,but i updated my Ambient Music Pack recently,perhaps include the newer version in the next patch ;)
Depends which version of the mod you use.
If you use the standard version,some tracks will only play during the day in the south,others during the night in the north etc.
If you use the 'All Tracks Everywhere' config file,you'll be able to hear any track in any location at any time.
If you were using All Tracks Everywhere it's fixed in V2.4b.
V2.4 update is out!
You'll also have to edit game_levels_music.ltx file to add more songs.
Fixed in V2.3b
I might have found the issue for some tracks not playing.The tracks that are supposed to play in the Swamps/Mil Warehouses/Red Forest/CNPP/Pripyat and Radar have 32000Hz sampling rate(too low for XRay engine),your tracks need to have 44100Hz sampling rate to work.
Yep,it works just how you described it.
It works with any mod that doesn't touch the game_levels_music.ltx file.
V2.0b should be up in a couple of minutes,will fix errors with missing 'ns_' tracks.
PS:If you know any other ambient track you want to see in this mod,please share it with me!
It was made on Update 4,so yes.
Found the cause of the error,the track had a different name than the one specified in the config.
Don't know what's causing 'missing ogg-comment' errors,never seen them on my end.
Nope,only ambient music
Good to know,thanks for the share!
You don't need a new game
Don't know why your game crashes,on my end the game works just fine
Made the mod on Update 3
