Just completed my first play through and the game was epic. Great textures, weapons, audio and gameplay. I played the original almost 20 years ago and this feels better than I remember it the first time around (thanks to this excellent mod). Easy to install and superb support for addons / additional missions. Thanks for this wonderful mod!

This mod fixes the games issue with fov, gameplay balance and arcade hit markers. Tough and intense battles. The mod turns a flawed game into a very good game.

Love the options per map, icing on the cake is with reduced grass distance and height it improves the performance of Misery 2.2 on my antique pc. Awsum work, well done!

Works perfectly with Misery 2.2 (install Misery with FOV 55 and then use this mod to open the in-game console and type FOV 59). Perfect settings for 1080p display.

I just tried version 1.26.6 of this mod as I wait for the next release. Wow! This is such an amazing, awsum, beautiful looking experience of the classic Quake 2. I couldn't be bothered to find my original CD of the game so bought it from Gog.com (first purchase and very impressed with that too), installed the game and extracted the contents of this mod to the game directory. Was up and running within minutes and this mod just blew my mind. It was like how I thought Quake 2 looked like when i played it almost 20 years ago! This is not a mod, make no mistake, this is actually a stunning, professional reboot! Well done and thank you to the creator of this excellent work.

This I'd the best mod I have encountered for the stalker series and fulfils what I always thought was missing ie a more realistic survival experience. It is not difficult and those people that complain about this excellent mod do not have the intelligence or patience to find this rewarding alternative to the simplicity of the vanilla style of gameplay. This is not call of duty, you have to think about what your mission is and prepare accordingly.
I cannot understand the negative reviews, this is simply an outstanding mod. Amazing bleak textures and atmospheric sound effects, scrounging for ammo, repairing rare weapons, hunting beasts for radiated food, shooting in the face the bandits that try to rob you, staggering back to base bleading and hungry before arriving and cooking your evening meal.
It's awsum!
