so heres what happened

marvel sent us a C&D
they thought we released because of a confusion in the PC Gamer article

we announced it on the main page, and even released the game on the forums
but then i changed the main page for fear of marvel still when ZEQ2 got shut down also

this build is pretty buggy, a lot of neat things were removed like melee due to bugs
throwable objects work though, theyre cool

anyways sorry to leave you guys hanging

you're best off ordering it online or just getting a copy from a friend if possible
future plans are to port to standalone, but we need to release on q3 first legally

right now we need
coders, animators, mappers

we are still progressing in areas of code and animation, but there hasn't been much on the site since it's been slow and we've been working to polish off everything and remove a lot of the bugs to create a more presentable mod... we are desperately lacking in quality maps though

well... what he says

Note the difference.. SMDF is for Q3, and Activision which owns the gaming rights to marvel characters, also publishes ID games such as.. Q3.. but NOT HL2...

so therefore.. smdf has the legal rights to spiderman, and only them

personally, I think you guys should just try to help out smdf, it's already been featured in pcgamer, has legal rights, and has much complete already, any leadership issues can be resolved to help both ends meet to an agreement

to the comment about marvel, as we state in the FAQ

"Spiderman is copyrighted by Marvel and Activison owns the video game rights to it, how do you plan to avoid legal troubles.

Ofcourse we are aware that marvel and activision own the property rights to Spiderman, however, we have asked and recieved permission from both companies, twice. We asked them before starting the project, and while the project has been in production.
Why are they allowing us to create a mod for free based on their property? Possibly because Activison publishes IDSoftware which publishes the game we're modifying, Quake3."
