Just a guy who loves working with sound effects and whatnot. Also, I'm a WW2 nut, so there's that. :P

Hello again!

Since I've been on the prefab construction scene for some time, I thought about considering some possible mapping projects myself. The keyword being "POSSIBLE", since my motivation is always bouncing back and forth between my sound modding work and some other personal things.

Nevertheless, here is a mini list of what ideas I've got waltzing in my head for mapping and such:

===================

St. Mathieu - France

17, August, 1944 - 0900 Hours

You are a downed OSS pilot, armed only with your trusty Colt.45 and maybe a Greasegun too. You'll be fighting your way through a war torn village where you will encounter soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division fighting off mostly Wehrmacht and Fallschirmjäger troops and one roving Panzer tank. Your task is to help them out and continue tracking throughout the town for a German HQ Post. There you will steal some maps and documents to give them to some members of the French Resistance hiding among the ruins. Once you've met up, you must escape the remainder of the town and board a German truck stolen by resistance members to drive out of there.

===================

Arnhem - Netherlands

19, September, 1944 - 1500 Hours

You are among a band of reinforcements sent to relieve the besieged defenses at the Arnhem bridge perimeter. You'll be entering just West of the city's outskirts and tracking your way on from there. Thanks to some intell provided by Dutch Resistance, you'll be advancing through areas where there is minimal German presence and where you are less likely to encounter patrolling armor units. This un-evacuated part of town may be under curfew, but there are instances of looting and violence done by Wehrmacht officers and their men. Clear these threats should you spot them. Be sure to also look around for any HQs to steal battle plans, and sabotage or disable any vitals such as radios and even tanks stopped for repairs. Continue tracking on until you reach the Central Arnhem region where members of 2nd Battalion are waiting for the rendezvous.

Just need to finish a couple errands, then set up my programs.

But at long last, I can set my wheels in motion again! I will be sure to also download a few other essentials so I can get back into the modding scene. Probably should also watch some video tutorials on Blender or 3DS Max (... preferably Blender) so I can learn how to rig/animate some custom weapon models.

All in all, it's good to be back!

The wheels of progress are still in motion for the United Fronts project, but in its current state, we need your help!

For this mod, we seek a balance between Quality and Quantity, and we have a great deal of custom material (especially weapons) to help breathe life into it. However, many of the custom weapon models need some visual upgrading, as well as better animations and sounds.

For this reason, I write on behalf of the United Fronts Developement Team to scream into the heave- err I mean, ask for people with vCod experience to help us provide good animations for all the custom weapon models we have imported into the mod. It may require some work, but the future of this mod depends on it!

As I stated, I'm only writing writing on behalf of the team. If you wish to get in contact with them, you can start with Marcomix, the author of the mod.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hello folks!

Hope you’re all doing well and you had a wonderful time these Holidays! I’m writing this from my nephew’s MAC by the by.

Just chiming in to provide a quick yet significant update. After almost a whole month dedicated to giving my ASUS ROG G750 laptop one last shot at the repairs, I just got word that the machine could not be fixed. So safe to say, it’s time to set the old horse out to pasture and acquire that new Lenovo laptop I’ve been looking at for some time now. Guess it seems rather appropriate with 2018 knocking at the door that I get myself that new piece of equipment for my artwork, stories, sound effects, studies, personal projects, entertainment, and all those goodies.

Now briefly looking back at 2017, this year has been yet another productive one for me. I’ve still been keeping myself drawing and writing stories, but I’ve also been quite the busy bee when working on a sound mod for a flight simulator. I personally find the latter to be one of my best accomplishments both creatively and productively, and I so eagerly look forward to doing more as soon as I get my hands back on the keyboard.

Lastly, I want to thank all of you guys. Even if I’ve gone offline the last half of this year for reasons I’ve stated, your support means a lot to me. ^_^

So I’ll be seeing you around!

Little heads up

Hey everyone! Hope you're doing well.

In case you are wondering, no. I don't have a new laptop yet due to a change of plans. We are going to use my ASUS laptop's 3-year protection warranty to give it one last shot.

Tomorrow I'll drop it off someplace where it can be shipped to the states. From there on out, it will be attended by a group of techs who will take a crack at repairing it. The good thing about this plan is that it's Money-Back guaranteed.

If it succeeds, I get to keep my ASUS for a longer while. If not, then the money is returned and that way I can purchase a Lenovo laptop instead.

Just thought I'd let you know. : )

It's official. My ASUS ROG 750 has sputtered its last death throes.

Turns out it wasn't exactly RAM problems, but rather a faulty hard disk, coupled with a faulty motherboard.

Attempts were made to keep her kicking, but ultimately, I've decided to get my hands on a new laptop, and one I will take greater care of.

I've done some searching though and found an interesting laptop for my needs: Lenovo Legion Y520

Been hearing a handful of good things about this one, so I hope to have my new rig set and ready by December perhaps.

Much love to ya', peeps!

Good News!

My PC is back and in good condition! However, I go back to college tomorrow. I might be busy with schoolwork and whatnot, but I'll try and crank out more stuff.

In other bits of news, I had a scare last night after a serious stomach pain, but I'm better now.

Hey. Just wanted to let you know that my PC is having problems and will be repaired, so I'm afraid I won't be able to work on the sounds, voices, and prefabs until my rig is fixed.

I apologize for the inconvenience...

Whilst I'm working on a more cinematic-ish sounding audio mod for United Fronts, I thought it'd be nice to include the explosion sounds of "A Bridge Too Far". These can play when distant mortar/artillery rounds blow up across the map at moderate range.

Hope you like it! ^ ^

This little idea of mine now has its own mod post. Currently in TBD, of course.
