It’s the same vehicle.
You mean the comment he made on this post? Moddb.com
What are you talking about? I have no idea what’s going on.
Uhhh...can someone fill me in on what's going on?
It was a vehicle that would have been in Pandemic's Battlefront III, but the game was canceled so it never made it into official media.
You know, I’d really like to see an updated version of this model used for the Mandator-I while the newer, angular models are used for the Mandator-II. Not only would it make them visually distinct from one another, but it would also be a cool visual representation of the Republic transitioning from the smooth and rounded designs seen in the prequels to the angular and utilitarian designs used by the Empire in the original trilogy.
Do you have a link to that podcast? That sounds like something that ought to be added to Wookieepedia.
I'd never seen the ARC-100 before today. Interesting.
That's because the model is based on the Bulwrk Mk. III, which debuted in a strategy game that came out in 1998. Needless to say, the graphics of the time weren't up to giving it the necessary detail: Starwars.fandom.com.
Awesome! I always wanted to see a high-def model for one of these! Are you planning to do the heavy version, too?
Which makes it all the more unfortunate that they didn't use it in Rebels.
Same here. It is hands down one of the most beautiful ships I've ever seen!
I always thought it was stupid how two ships built along the same lines were given the same name despite their colossal difference in size. They should have named the dreadnought the Profusion-class, which would be quite fitting since the word means lavish expenditure or extravagance.
This is the same art used for the canceled Tiberian Eclipse mod: Moddb.com
Glad to see it finally glimpsing the light of day after so long. I look forward to seeing what the model looks like!
I see elements of FractalSponge's Bellator in there! When do you plan on uploading the image of the II, BTW?
Yeah, but it debuted in the old TIE Fighter game released in 1994.
"The Vasudan worldview included a nonlinear perception of time with moral and social implications. A Vasudan believed that she existed in the same overall spacetime as her own ancestors and descendants, and therefore, her actions would be judged both by her forefathers and her progeny."
I think I read something like this in official material somewhere. Is that where you got it from or am I misremembering?
Damn, this looks awesome! I'd love to see a proper ortho of this model. :D
Nice work, though I think it should be more streamlined by losing the negative space entirely.
Can someone fill me in on who or what ASV is?
So, the Wookieepedia link is dead because the vessel appears to have never really existed. Any chance the model might get reused for the Maelstrom-class battlecruiser?
Any idea on what the class' name will be?
Aw man, this reminds me of the Empire Earth expansion where they introduced space units! That was a fun game...
Wait, are those All-Terrain Advance Raiders?
Too early for that, I think the Vasari's ancient enemy may have followed them to the new galaxy.
Purple? Must be a really powerful turbolaser, then.
I honestly prefer this design over the canon E-Wing. The turret looks much better than a third laser cannon.
