Since they're keeping as close as possible to actual canon as far as I can tell, I sincerely doubt they'd add in a race that's been extinct for 50,000 years.

Unless Javik gets to be a faction all on his own...

They're fine, because they're balanced. The Crucible is one of a kind and there's been no indication that the other factions have anything of similar caliber. Having it in the mod would make the mod unbalanced unless the other factions get their own versions.

You were talking very specifically about killing (and so was I), so there was no need whatsoever to clarify the *"choices". The Catalyst does not kill anything. It's the component of the Crucible that is necessary to make any of three "choices" possible.

What do I think would go better with this mod? Not having the Crucible at all. It'd be little more than an "I win" button. If it is present, it would best serve in the role of a superweapon that requires a great deal of research and resources to build.

In which case, the other sides would need to be balanced by having their own superweapon.

*I have "choices" wrapped in quotation marks because regardless of your decision, the end result is virtually identical.

Anyway, the Catalyst doesn't kill anything. It's just a component of the Crucible, which is what does the killing. And the Crucible is not a 'main gun', it's an omni-directional plot-device that destroys mass relays.

Patience is no virtue of yours, I see. I've been waiting a long time for this mod and am perfectly happy to keep waiting for as long as it takes since the team working on it is doing their damn finest to bring us a mod that's not only complete, but a visual and musical masterpiece.

That's exactly what it's shaping up to be; and I, for one, couldn't be happier with the progress I've been seeing.

The Pillar of Autumn had an exposed bridge, yes, but Captain Keyes spends half a page bitching about how bad of an idea that is in The Fall Of Reach.

Almost every other ship in Halo (except perhaps in comics, I've never read any of them so I wouldn't know for sure) has it's bridge buried deep within the ship, surrounded by layers of armour.

The Covenant could have gotten away with exposed bridges since they rely far more heavily on shields than armour for protection, but even they still bury their bridges in the centre of their ships.

In regards to this design, I actually rather like it with the wings, but I still prefer the wingless design. Pity we can't have both...

If you need more models for the UNSC and Covenant ships, have you considered the Covenant destroyer seen in Halo Wars or a UNSC destroyer based on the Heart of Midlothian? (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/File:Heart_of_Midlothian.png)

Loving what you've got of the mod so far, particularly the Halo faction and the reworked Empire.

Love the mod, especially pitting SG against BSG, truly excellent work.

However, when playing a skirmish game as SST, it crashes randomly. The first time it happened I'd only just started playing, the second time was maybe 20 mins in and the last time was just before I destroyed the enemy starbase.

I don't remember the exact error message that pops up right now, but I'll have another crack at it and let you know what the message is when I get a chance.

I know you said they CTD in GC mode, or something along those lines, but I thought I'd let you know about this one in skirmish as well.

This is a great mod, but I've got a bit of a problem.

I want to play just the regular FOC game, but I can't. Every time I try and start the game, it immediately starts the mod. I've tried deleting the mod and reinstalling the game, but it kinda made things worse.

Now, it still launches the mod, but I can't even play the mod now because all the starbases have disappeared. Anyone have any suggestions?

great mod, love being able to pit the different sci-f groups against each other.

i have two problems though. First, the Star Trek faction seems to have no AI in either skirmish or GC, and second, when I'm playing as the Stargate faction (possibly others, i've only tried with SG so far) as soon as i try to initiate an attack on an enemy planet the game crashes back to OS.

the GC enemy AI attacking (usually the BSG faction) me does not cause this crash.

I'm pretty new to the site (in fact, I registered about 10 minutes ago specifically for this mod) and I have to say that this is very well done. I'm not even much of a Trek fan and I still like it.

I have just one issue. When playing a skirmish or GC game against AI, said AI does nothing. Just sits around waiting, doesn't make ships, doesn't upgrade anything, doesn't even move it's starting ships.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this? I was under the impression that this was for both single- and multiplay.

The version I downloaded was 0.9 Interpretation, by the way.
