Also is the scale right. Shouldn't medium hulls be 2.5 to 10 in scale rather than 250 to 1000? I think as Battleships are 8 this might be an error.

Played a second game with the same crash. When I destroy a faction the game crashes. It didn't do it in 1.4. The first game was when Mordor took over the Silvan, the second was Dwarves finishing off Rhun.
Does anyone else have the same problems?

I am having problems with the game crashing when a faction is taken over. I am not sure if it is a problem with 1.4 or a Sub Mod (real combat). It occured when I was playing Mordor and took over the last Silvan settlement.

My cheap trick was to mess with the number of riders and give rohan (and the easterlings) more as they are horse cultures. Being semi barbarians who "roll on the floor with the dogs" may not be conductive to having the best armor.

Anyone having crash when a faction is eliminated. I installed 1.4 and RC and can't figure out if the problem is in Real Combat sumod or 1.4.
I was playing Mordor and took over last Silvan Elves settlement when crash occured.

Anyone know where/how to make a bug report? I have been having the game crash on video cut scene when ram breaks down gates.

I don't think it is a Third age problem...but does anyone know where the file is that sets the games default battle and game difficulty as I think the game sets them both back to medium even when you load a saved game. I have read this was an issue with medival kingdoms. Can anyone point to the file?

The 1.3 patch somehow changes the following read only file:

1. Look in main medieval ii file folder for medieval2.preference (a CFG file)

2. Right click and change properties from read only.

3. Open with Wordpad

4. Look down in [game] section near the bottom and change

unit_size=huge to unit_size=small

5. Save the file

6. right click on the file and change back to read only.

7. You might find if you can play the game in this setting ;)

Sorry I see it below. Do you know is it only the export descrp unit that you have to mess with to change the number? I looked at the data there and that is where I got 100 for the number of soldiers. Why does this mod effect other mods?

The patch also doubled the number of men in the Britania Kingdoms Scenario. I am reinstalling the whole thing. Do you know what version/patch it works best with?

Beware version 1.3 as it increases the number of soldiers by 2.5 for some reason. Data says that MM Snaga Skirmishers should have 100 figures and they have 250. The 30 men bodyguard are 75 strong etc. This makes the game unplayable in sieges as you can't fit your units on the walls. Also I can't get in to change the values as it says the file doesn't exist. Anybody having the same problems? If I could get into and save the unit desc files I think I could solve it myself.
