Attention! To prevent the instable operation of mods we make all mods marked as "incompatible". Authors of the mods should be familiar with important information and fix the mods according to the technical requirements!
After fixing the mod, the author must report about it (either via news or by a personal message to developers), after which the mod will be re-opened.
Important note for mod-makers with the latest patch 1.431. Some engine settings have benn changed, especially important is that the game considers uppercase and lowercase letters in file names! Read all points carefully:
No more automatic conversion of resource names to low case! Now names should fit exactly, or you will get “resource not found”.
All styles from many *.lng gathered in one #skin.lng (in base resources)
Clippers now configured and stored in mission files
Able to use different mission files for different team sizes in multiplayer games
You have to rename all multiplayer mission names in battle zones mode from battle_zones.mi to battlezones.mi
VERY IMPORTANT point! With the newest patch the game engine became case-sensitive. To avoid misunderstandings we highly recommended to use lowercase (small) letters in all the names!
Localization
If you want to make a multi-language version of your mod, it is necessary to to create separate folders for each language (.ru, .en, .fr, .de, .es), whose structure is the same as the global directory, so it will have folders “interface» (for texts) and «sound» (for voice dialogs)
Please note that is not needed to copy full localization file to your mod, if it is necessary to add the names of new units or change the existing description. To do this, create a file with the correct name, but add at the end of the name the + sign. The game is able to merge the original file with additional file with same name. Merging of files takes place in order of packages (!)
Inheritance package properties
It is absolutely necessary to specify the ID of the packages in .info file, that are required for your package and exclude the connection of the packages which can have a conflict.
Packages are applied in the same order in which packages are specified in lines

Add this line into your .info file so that the package manager does not go crazy -

Folders «global» and «scene» in your mod folder
«Global» folder contains all the resources that are connected at the time of loading of the game and which are necessary for the correct operation of the interface (modes, maps, interface files, lists of units for regimes, plus music and sounds)
«Scene» - it's resources for the game scenes (entity, environment, breed, stuff, etc.)
Package activation (important)!
By default, your package will be activated every time you create a session on any map of your mod. To avoid confusion with the connection of the necessary packages always name your maps with as long names as possible. For example, in the name of the map, you can add the name of your mod or map author to avoid the same map name issue.
