This I understood, but in the game (in any port) there is an option that allows to disable and enable pick up the weapon. Can players choose for themselves how to survive?

When I find a new weapon I do not automatically pick it up, I have to manually select the weapon. Is this a bug? Settings tried different, port Zandronum 3.0.
